  2. Can anyone help me understand if Chowmein drivers for TAPO Switches P110 Models in India are supported with Control4 Core 3 Controller? If not please help me if there is anyway to achieve this.
  3. G'day all, Just letting you know that a new build has been released (20240424): https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-lighting-leaf This mainly improves the feedback of the lights and includes our new performance code. Full list of changes are: [Control] Improve Realtime Feedback channel to resolve a potential issue with communications dropping out, which also affected control (Agent) [Bug] Fix Misc Bugs (All) [Improvement] Improve compatibility with old Announcement Agent installations (Sensor) [Improvement] Improve Variable Handling (All) [Troubleshooting] Major Improvements to Diagnostics (All) [Misc] Add more defensive code to protect against potential issues (All) [Performance] Introduce some MAJOR performance improvements. Some logging tests of 10000x logs demonstrated speed gains from 6600ms to 60ms processing time. This is seperate from some other previous improvements yielding improvements of 680ms to 47ms on a Core series for another type of operation. Some other tests showed speed gains of 22ms (best case) on EA series controllers to less than 1ms average for certain operations. [Performance] Reduce HTTP connections required
  4. Awesome--thank you for the help with identification. I installed IVMS and managing playback is a little less clunky than through the tiny Hik-Connect mobile app, but I still have very limited functionality (e.g., can't actually speed up playback to 2x, 4x, etc.; there are no pins in the timeline showing me people and/or vehicles; no way to set up notifications that I can find). I managed to get into the NVR by just hard-wiring to it, and here it looks like I can set up zones and notification triggers, which is great! Unfortunately, these notifications don't appear anywhere outside of the local NVR setup. I.e., I don't get them in my Hik-Connect app and I don't see anything in IVMS. But I'm down the rabbit hole now, so will crack it eventually. This looks great based on what I've searched so far. Assuming it takes some knowledge to set it up though. Great! Based on some YT videos I've watched, it looks like the PoE will give me more direct access to the cameras + they'll actually appear in SADP (currently they don't!). Agree, it sounds like a good investment. Appreciate everyone's help--saved me from ripping and replacing a functioning (if somewhat clunky for now) system. On a separate but related note: are there recommended alarm systems for C4? We currently have a quote for Qolsys IQ4, but want to make sure we're installing the right thing for anything we want to do long-term.
  5. Upgrading to 3.4.2 fixed this issue. Thanks, Ari! Sent from my SM-F946U1 using Tapatalk
  6. There is not as far as I know. Programming doesn't know where's being called from. RyanE

Why? As the NEEO servers are shut down, I don't think they will work very well. RyanE
  8. Thanks. How did you obtain OVRC, if I can ask, and where would I be able to obtain it? Which version of OVRC are you using? Thanks very much.
  9. You could probably use a cheaper Monoprice one with an IR remote assuming that you can train the IR codes
  10. Right. Sa1 has 2x IR Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
  11. Probably a long shot, but does anyone have one of these for sale?
  12. I wouldn’t need an IR transmitter for the Binary if I used IR from a Triad SA1 to control it, right?
  13. I thought about using my AVPro matrix but it’s a little big for a dresser
  14. Woops sorry posted the wrong link, that's the one I was thinking about. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
  15. Nor does it make it true. That's the thing with opinions. But feel feel to argue the facts (as well as the feelings) that fuel your opinion.
  16. Binary 260 switch is the newer model, comes in 3, 4 and 5 in 1 out options, has IR and serial drivers. It's also 4K HDR and full 4:4:4 @60 (and no timing issues with active cables unlike older models). I'm using two personally, one IR and one serial and they're rock-solid. https://www.snapav.com/shop/en/snapav/switchers-splitters/b-260-swtch-4x1
  17. The release note bug fix list has never been really a complete list - and if the bug number never went outside of the beta channels, it would not make the list to begin with.
  18. I'm not seeing any mention of this fix in the 3.4.2 release notes, and no reference to the ticket (AV-9682) that was referenced earlier in this thread.
  19. My dealer ordered in and tried a Binary balun - it works ok but not great, as there's a bit of a lag when switching sources and not all sources work. I swapped a known good c4-lu1 and it works fine. Worth trying the AVPro balun (or another one) do you think?
  20. AVPro probably has an IP controllable one I would imagine.
  21. I've used this one, has IR driver not IP https://www.snapav.com/shop/en/snapav/b-240-hdswtch-5x1

  23. I have a zigen used one that I wrote an IP driver for. Happy to sell that to you and give you the driver
  24. I’m going to be short on HDMI ports in a room. Is there a Control4 supported 4K HDMI switch I can put some lesser used sources on to connect to an HDMI input on a TV? I can find lots of options but none so far with a C4 driver.
  25. Being opinion doesnt make it untrue. Most NVR software is absolutely trash, completely lack of features or intuitive UI included in consumer crap like Alarm.com DigitalWatchdog is finally an option from Snap thats worth while. Unifis camera app is easily the best, but I need to use too diverse of a camera type to really use them in most jobs.
  26. Video clip history. As for the other line: I actually don't particularly like or dislike Unifi's option, but much like there networking gear I'll refrain from installing it due to lack of a support channel (I just had my guys rip out another unifi switch that failed, but we didn't install and don't have paperwork for to rma (at least not quickly) as it took down a complete C4 system as well as the internet for the family) - but my (mild) point was that it's opinion, not fact. You're taking my comment way out of proportion. So please don't throw a 'please educate us' line at me: you made an opinionated statement in the form of fact: if you feel that it is indeed fact - then the onus of educating all of us is on you.
  27. The biggest change which might affecs a small number of users is that some drivers like the old ping driver and reboot driver are likely broken. This is a good thing because when drivers like ping ran, they blocked every driver on the controller from running for a few seconds (so, power on commands would be delayed, etc) You'll want to ensure all your drivers are up to date if you run into issues
