My version is 12.5.5.4174. Last update January. I tried to force an update and it says I’m up to date. My model is 4800x.

100% changes were made since January. That is the major version update.

So you mean the changes were done outside the stand alone Roku box? From my update screen it says the last update was in January. That would imply no changes were made to the box’s firmware.

Version is really platform - there are a lot of updates that occur that are sub-components that don’t increase the platform number

Does anyone have experience with the Chowmain Rako driver? I have had Rako for a while and recently made aware of the Chowmain driver which introduces the ability to control colours. My challenge is, it doesn't seem to have a setup for RGBW tape which means the colour wheel just doesn't work correctly. You also then can't set up a correct presets because the colours are always wrong.

How do these changes occur without an update? Or is Roku lying by not changing version number when doing "stealth" upgrades?

start by learning what an API is, then learn any language to understand the concepts of programming, then come back to Control4 API

From your posts, I think you may not be up for the challenge since you seem unwilling to do the work and learning required. There are a few replies in this thread trying to help you, but nobody is going to do the work for you (for free), and, as mentioned, the process isn't so simple to be contained in a single PDF or guide, assuming you want a 2-way driver. You will also have a very challenging time trying to create a driver if you haven't first learned how Control4 works and have some understanding of how it interfaces with 3rd party devices. If you'd like to learn to build drivers, have your dad teach you that first and then dig into the resources I posted earlier. If you have more specific questions from there, I'd be happy to help via message or post in the Driver Dev section of this forum. For now, Andrew Luecke has given you your best option:

I had the same experience. 1 of my 3 quit working, then started again after a couple of weeks.

Thanks. I just power cycled, then checked for updates. No update since it says I’m at the latest. The same version since January. But amazingly it works now. That’s strange. Same firmware all along.

Reboot it and check for updates

Hi all any update on this? I have 2 Roku 4k devices, with the same firmware rev. One works. One doesn’t. I’ve been using the Roku app on my iPhone with one of the devices for over a month. ideas ? thanks
