  2. Here're the answers from the manufacturer: maximum bandwidth supported is 10.2Gbps, this type is uncompressed; signal is lossless + unit price (ex VAT): 245,00 EUR

  4. Hello, Does anyone have a neeo brain for sale? thanks.
  5. Ok, I managed to figure out the model of the cameras. They're SC-328GY-XD-2.8MM. Edit: I can’t actually locate any information about this specific model. Thank you again for the help, I know nothing about hardware haha.
  6. Reason why Snap One launched Control 4 assist and assist premium to drive additional RMR from service contracts.
  7. How does the DoorBird field of view compare to the Chime? I currently have a 1st generation Door Station. Has anyone come up with a fabrication to flush mount the Chime within the DS rough in back box?
  8. Thank you for the input! I've checked out Luma and so far it looks like it checks all the boxes. And appreciate the intel on Clare's alarm panel--it's something we've been weighing among the options for our security system as well. I'd love to keep the old system if we can make it work. So far I've been able to learn out that our NVR model is SC-32P4-4C, if that tells you anything. The security cameras would've been installed no longer than 1.5 years ago, so I would hope they're not a super old model. Am yet to figure out what the exact camera models are though, waiting on a spare ethernet cable to arrive so I can connect to the NVR.
  9. Not quite. While the bridge closes a few gaps between the x10 and x20 cameras, it (potentially) does so much more, and does more with X20 cams than x10's. If you want x20 capability, get x20 cameras, don't think the bridge is some sort of upgrade path to make X10 into x20. Yes they are reliable as such but I'd stick with HIK or perhaps go Luma or Uniview on camera change. If wanting to keep old cams, Uniview has good options for smart notifications etc in their NVRS, a better app than HIK and should be able to integrate the old cams just fine. Current HIK NVRS aren't terrible in their smart work, but I can't say how well or poor your existing HIK cams are. If they're old 720p cameras, no smart NVR will fix that. Honestly, I'd be hesitant to suggest going Clare. It's not bad stuff at all, but it's alarm panel portion has been struggling to make headway, and if one falls..... Add that Snap has Luma as well as Clare so why keep both long term, and then add that Residio is looking to aquire Snap and is even more likely to keep only one (and Luma is more versatile).....
  10. Well your $10 are worthless from a dealer perspective. They may even work fine (though I doubt they work well) - if doing those you may as well just twist rca cables to cat5 leads directly, save yourself an RJ45 end too. $500 is a lot, but I don't use those, cant comment too much. Those do do SPDIF as well though, including passing through surround AND convert so not really a comparison to the $10 one you're linking. We use a different pro-only channel brand (GreenAudio) which off the top of my head price is something nearer to 250 US. Those can take either stereo, optical OR coax SPDIF and it'll output all three on the other end (if feeding stereo PCM, if surround analogue is disabled) similar to the one you linked from AV Pro. They're super universal so our install guys just carry them in stock in the vans - it's just not worth it from our perspective to carry several different options. If you're more DIY in your install deal with your dealer, it's your time to go through 10 sets of baluns from amazon (and thus your time to consider vs finding a cheap option). That's not a negative - just pointing out that there's a reason you can do things like this cheaper if you're willing to use your own time. Any way that is all going too far into the realm of discussing why installers of ANY kind don't carry 5 options for every possible scenario and thus why you may be able to find a cheap one-off option and make it work.
  11. Not a dealer but have had a good experience with the Luma X10 Series Cameras and newer NVR. The newer X20 series has the smart detection which from other posts seem to work quite well. Luma also offers a Luma Bridge if you acquire older X10 cameras to integrate to achieve all of the features that their current X20 series provides. I did have Hikvision installed in a retail store owned but wasn't integrated with C4. The cameras were great, however i went thru 2 different NVR's that failed over a period of 40 months. Others may have had better experience I'm sure and can speak to the C4 integration part. IMO Luma has been great as platform to use for both user functions and capture of recordings from their own app when needed.
  12. Hey C4 pros! We recently bought a house that came with a Control 4 system. I'm looking to have smart security cameras set up. Something that has zone-based AI detection, smart notifications, etc. The house came with Hikvision cameras already installed, but they aren't functioning as "smart" cameras. I.e., I have to manually review footage using their clunky app. The C4 integration also broke after I changed our ISP. I spoke with a dealer who recommended replacing everything with ClareOne cameras. They have the features I want, but a full rip-and-replace feels excessive. I also can't find any recent reviews of ClareOne—and anything I do find is negative. Is ClareOne a reliable security camera system? Given the choice between Hikvision and ClareOne—what's better? Or should I consider something else altogether? The alternative to replacing everything is to try and figure out how to get the Hikvision cameras to work the way I want them to, but so far I haven't gotten clear answers on whether that's possible. Thanks in advance!
  13. I would say most would for a corporate setting as well but what about real estate or insurance offices with like 5-10 people. i think this is where unifi fits in (along with the home market).
  14. Interesting that Cat 5e to PCA audio baluns are $10 Amazon, whereas a local C4 dealer told me today that he uses AV Pro Edge extenders for $500 a pair (can be found online for $300).

  16. I posted this in the thread in the main forum thread. It looks like Control4 hasn't been a very good investment for Snap One/ Hellman & Friedman. They should have sold the rest of their Snap One shares back in early 2022 when it was still well above $15/share and their lockup expired.
  17. OOps, yes didn't catch that, can't use the wired keypad, you'd want the wireless one. The fan controller cannot change the hard button layout at all.
  18. You could bypass the fan output of the Control4 Fan Speed Controller essentially turning it into a KC120 and run the hot direct to the new fan. Then reprogram the buttons as you'd like. But I don't think you'll be able to 'add' an up/down to the fan controller driver in composer. But no the KCB is not a choice as it's 48v power and RS485 for panelized lighting. KC120 would be the choice.
  19. Meaning that yes any keypad would do in a way as you don't need line voltage control anymore. But watch code on having a fan hardwired with no on/off power control. You could also basically just keep the fan controller (but you're stuck with 5 buttons), remove the 'hard' button connections, put in a bit of programming to keep that fan at 100% at all times and program the buttons to control the new wifi fan speed settings.
  20. I’m not sure what you mean…the modern form fan uses WiFi and connects to Control4 natively. You can then control it via any keypad, app, etc….
  21. We’ve tried them all. As I’ve posted elsewhere the only reliable remote they have is the SR260. Rock solid. I’m waiting for the Halo Touch v2. But don’t even know if that is in the works.
  22. Evening. There does not seem to be one provided by the driver associated with the project. But curiously, there does not appear to be a generic one either internal to C4 as part of the standard variables available to call up the name of that room or device. Is this a programmatic shortcoming or is there something obvious that is not clicking with me?
  23. 4 Used $70ea 2 New $90ea Shipped to the US For any of these, I would love to trade for current model Outlet Switch (vs Dimmer).
  24. isn’t there a roomID variable? If that is all there is (I can’t recall anything else) then you would need a macro to convert this to a string name… Same thing for DeviceID but not necessarily practical to have a macro for, say, 1000 devices.
  25. I have Qty 2 of NYCE NCZ-3010-2-C4 Door Hinge Sensor These are 4" in Satin Nickel Finish $100 for both (not each) shipped to the US.
  26. What C4 light switch needs to be spec’d for Modern Forms fans? As my current fan is AC wired to a C4 fan switch. Would a programmable KCB switch work? As I just need forward direction for High, Med, Low, Off. As the remaining two buttons I would prefer to program for music (on 1 tap/off 2 tap), and the 6th as volume up and down.
  27. for home, I would pick unifi....got both and the unifi is a lot easier to deal with.
  28. Connect is simply the new (required) 4Sight and that won't have any Araknis requirements (remember, OVRCPro is built into C4 controllers). ASSIST which is the higher tier option may (sort of) have that, I wouldn't know the details as non of this is rolling out in our region for now (US only) so I haven't dug into it. Assist gives (certified for it) dealers added remote assist options as well as direct C4 support access. If nothing else, I expect added C4 direct support on networking issues will have requirements (such as using araknis/pakedge and other OVRC enabled devices) to at least some degree and may have specific equipment they wont support: i doubt it'll mean they won't support other troubleshooting however. And no I certainly wouldn't suggest Eero either, bu that's just me. Also, as an Epic/Gold/Diamond dealer employee: don't fall over your dealer being Diamond or otherwise: that is 95% based on sales volumes, and the other 5% is a handful of requirements on certification and number of certified employees - non of which make ANY guarantee on the actual working knowledge they have. Not in any way saying that the dealer you're talking to is bad - any more than I'm saying they're good. As for labelling (at least important) ports and having wiring diagrams accessible (in general terms), well that's just proper setup really.
