Is there a 4x1 4k HDMI Switch with a Control4 driver?
Cyknight replied to jfh's topic in General Control4 Discussion
Binary 260 switch is the newer model, comes in 3, 4 and 5 in 1 out options, has IR and serial drivers. It's also 4K HDR and full 4:4:4 @60 (and no timing issues with active cables unlike older models). I'm using two personally, one IR and one serial and they're rock-solid. https://www.snapav.com/shop/en/snapav/switchers-splitters/b-260-swtch-4x1 -
The release note bug fix list has never been really a complete list - and if the bug number never went outside of the beta channels, it would not make the list to begin with.
-
I'm not seeing any mention of this fix in the 3.4.2 release notes, and no reference to the ticket (AV-9682) that was referenced earlier in this thread.

Being opinion doesnt make it untrue. Most NVR software is absolutely trash, completely lack of features or intuitive UI included in consumer crap like Alarm.com DigitalWatchdog is finally an option from Snap thats worth while. Unifis camera app is easily the best, but I need to use too diverse of a camera type to really use them in most jobs.

Video clip history. As for the other line: I actually don't particularly like or dislike Unifi's option, but much like there networking gear I'll refrain from installing it due to lack of a support channel (I just had my guys rip out another unifi switch that failed, but we didn't install and don't have paperwork for to rma (at least not quickly) as it took down a complete C4 system as well as the internet for the family) - but my (mild) point was that it's opinion, not fact. You're taking my comment way out of proportion. So please don't throw a 'please educate us' line at me: you made an opinionated statement in the form of fact: if you feel that it is indeed fact - then the onus of educating all of us is on you.

The biggest change which might affecs a small number of users is that some drivers like the old ping driver and reboot driver are likely broken. This is a good thing because when drivers like ping ran, they blocked every driver on the controller from running for a few seconds (so, power on commands would be delayed, etc) You'll want to ensure all your drivers are up to date if you run into issues

Sonos does not allow browsing music services: the only thing it can show is tunein stations you favourite in the sonos app.

Just to be clear that all camera systems will not allow you to scrub a timeline inside of Control4. There is no native NVR integration in Control4 that allows you to do everything through the C4 app. The closest you are going to get to that is the history integration with the c4 chime doorbell. Every other camera will integrate the same with Control4 (with slight variations). You will be able to view the live feeds and get PTZ control of the camera. Some cameras might integrate history now. You can also get push notification on smart alerts (people, cars, animals) depending on the camera and the driver. Overall, the best experience for camera and NVR software is Unifi. The app is light years ahead of these other systems and scrubbing a timeline is super easy. No annual fees to worry about either. Unifi integrates with Control4 and has the ability to do push notifications on smart events. The integration requires a paid 3rd party driver. The doorbell actual works and push notifications are instant.

Remote Integration services offered
ramram23 replied to neil12011's topic in Looking For An Integrator?
Wanted to mention that I've been working with @neil12011 as my remote dealer and I couldn't recommend him more. He takes the time to listen and offer suggestions that I may have overlooked. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a remote dealer or any help with your control4 system. -
So I'm told, yes.

You bet, several times. No issue to date, even in a full concrete crawlspace. Ability to use Wifi in crawlspace will indicate a bit how good/bad the 2.4 Ghz penetration is, but inggnereal you'll simple want to have another zigbee repeating device (any c4 branded lighting, keypad) no more than 20 feet away, or a C4 controller 30f or Z2IO device 50f away and you should be fine.

Does 3.4.2 contain the fix? I can't seem to see it in the release notes/bug fixes. https://www.control4.com/docs/product/control4-software/dealer-release-notes/english/latest//control4-software-release-notes-rev-as.pdf

And a fix for some Spotify issues

Hi - curious if anyone has put a C4-V-OOSW120-BL (Outdoor Receptacle Plug-in Outlet Switch) or Lamp Switch in a crawlspace? I'm generally impressed with how wireless signals just "umm, err, find a way" but the crawlspace is pretty well shut-in, no doors or windows. I guess if I can use my mobile wifi from the crawlspace that would be a good enough test?
