I have old sound bar with optical and aux in signal. Whats is the best solution in c4 for have best economic solution to streming audio and annuncement? Thanks.

One possibility is that (unintentional) playing with the favourites/homescreen may have caused it to disappear - your dealer can reset the favourites list back to default to clear this (or if you have ComposerHE, it's under agents, UIcontrol)

Open the hamburger menu (top left). Hold down on the listen icon in this menu and you will have the option to favourite to the room. If listen has disappeared from this menu (unlikely in my opinion) then you have a bigger issue. Call your dealer. He will probably need to fix things in Composer.

The "listen" icon from one of our rooms somehow disappeared and we want to add it back but can't figure out how. Read C4's website on favouriting things but doesn't seem to apply to our situation as none of those options are available. Anyone know how to add the listen icon back to a room?

Interesting comment. I have an IntelliCenter at one home and an IntelliTouch at the other. The C4 integration is slightly better on the IntelliTouch (older system). The Pentair Home App is better than the ScreenLogic App but not that much better unless you have a really large system (more than 8 pumps or a need for more than 10 features that are not physical circuits).

I just called tech support for clarification. An old account upgrading to a Core DOES NOT have to pay for Connect and may fully update to the latest OS!! Connect ONLY triggers at creation of a new account, and does so for ALL new accounts regardless of processor or OS! Home sold systems need to either have the previous owner do a change of email to the new owners, or new owners will HAVE to pay Connect for a new account, even for an HC running 2.10.6. In theory there is a resale value to dead accounts.

It wont, it has valid applications for internal LANs. If you want to expand on the issue, there could be a solution - presumably this is regarding a VPN routing/DNS issue? I am unfamiliar with the OS but there may be a way to add an exception through the CLI if SSH access is available.

Oh ok - thank you for clarifying. Interesting so as soon as you go to 3.4.2 and you add new controllers you going to be forced to connect subscription. So, then the question is, if you get the controller registered via connect can you still manage that controller via Composer Pro?

If your system is old, it might be worth the IntelliCenter upgrade. you not only get a better connection with C4, but the Pentair Home app is very useful.

no, that is only partially right. You have a project on a EA now and you upgrade to a NIB core, you will have to subscribe to connect. Connect requirement is about when the hardware was first registered.

Correct. Even registering an existing used Core/EA won’t need to use Connect…

Interesting - they removing the ability already to register projects in Composer pushing to the new subscription model. From what I can see/read even with the upgrade it wont affect current systems that have already been registered its for net new registered projects.

There are 3 or 4 IntelliTouch drivers out there. I think I have tried all of them. The only one that I would recommend is the bNet Solutions driver. It is (in my view) the best pool driver out there and has better (more complete) integration than any other pool driver I have seen and I have seen many Pentair and other pools connected to Control4. It is also the only IntelliTouch driver that I have seen which 100% reliably gives 2 way control to the various Pentair circuits etc.

Yes, the fan controller buttons are fully programmable - unlike the KC120277 the layout just can't be changed. For the record: KC = configurable keypad. Doesn't control a load itself KD = is a keypad and dimmer in one, so controls a load as a dimmer (and yes not what you want here at all) KA = something else entirely in that it's a special device to act as a multi-way switch for cheap (think top and bottom of stairs), no programming involved (or possible) and looks like a C4 regular switch or dimmer but no leds.

anyone know if there is a way to map the 4 color buttons to the color buttons on the actual remote? (in this case its a Droidlogic Sword+ box) Control is working but the client needs to be able to use the color buttons to switch between different views in the app they are using (OnAir). I only see the ability to map the color buttons to app shortcuts.

I don’t want to turn off the protection, just add an exception to run a program. However, my issue may be entirely unrelated to rebinding. And if doing an exception opens up significant vulnerability, I won’t do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thats exactly how it works. There are literally settings on camera UIs not included in the more general NVR config options. It’s also specifically talked about in many brands knowledge base. Otherwise you risk mismatched settings.

Pretty sure DNS rebinding is a way for hackers to hack your PC. Why do you need this protection removed??
