  3. Hey there! Netgear new extender setup can feel like diving into the deep end of the tech pool, but fear not, I've got your back! Let's break it down into easy-to-follow steps that even your grandma could handle (well, maybe not mine, but you get the idea). First off, grab a cup of your favorite brew because you're gonna need some fuel for this journey. Now, let's dive in. Step one: unwrap that shiny new extender like it's Christmas morning. Find a cozy spot near your router, but not too close, we want that sweet, sweet Wi-Fi to reach the far corners of your home. Plug in the extender and power it up. Now, grab a device – your phone, laptop, or tablet – anything with a web browser will do. Connect to the extender's network, usually labeled something like "NETGEAR_EXT." Once connected, fire up your browser and type in "mywifiext.net" in the address bar. This is where the magic happens. Now, brace yourself for the moment of truth. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your extender settings. This usually involves creating a new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password, so pick something snazzy that you'll remember. You might also have to choose your existing Wi-Fi network from a list and enter its password. Once you've crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's, hit that save button like a boss. Your extender will now do its thing, extending your Wi-Fi reach to the darkest corners of your castle. Voila! You're officially the master of Wi-Fi extension, ready to binge-watch Netflix in the basement or stream tunes in the attic without skipping a beat. 4. Well, I would say don't mix SSIDs on differente wifi gens (which is not quote the same as the same gen AP by the way) - you COULD get a different AP in an out building on a completely different SSID and it should be no problem at all (similarly I have an AP set to a different SSID completely for in-laws to use when they're visiting with their trailer - where they put it is a dead spot for wifi (and no don't care to have it there any other time), and I wasn't investing in a matching AP, so used one of my old ones on a 2.4 only SSID)
  5. Me too! Happy to help test. I bought a Vision Pro day 1 too it is fun tech!
  6. Yes, they are seated well. I believe it's a bug. I have double-tap programming setup on the top button of every one of my keypads to turn off that room and the problem comes up a lot.
  7. It shouldn't. Have you made sure the buttons are seated well?
  8. Running 3.3.3 I have programming which runs on double-tap of a keypad button. There's a bug where two button taps of different buttons triggers a double-tap event on the last button pushed. For example: I have a 2 button keypad where the top button is "Light" and the bottom button is "Fan". I have programming for double-tap of "Light" which sets the brightness to 50%. No programming for "Fan". I single-tap "Fan" and then quickly single-tap "Light" Unexpected: The "Light" double-tap programming is triggered setting the brightness to 50%, despite only pushing the "Light" button once It seems the logic for the double-tap counts any button tap, rather than accumulating only the button taps of the particular button.

  10. There are two sensors on each of the garage doors and I do know there is a wire in the garage motor too. I think that wire just passes the signal?
  11. Long shot but figured I'd ask here. I work for a staffing company, and our client is looking to hire resources who have experience drafting with Revit (other programs are fine as long as they have some decent Revit experience) and also hold a current RCDD. Client is open to people with any types of industry experience, though this is commercial work, if they come from luxury residential and want to go commercial that is fine. Salary varies by years of experience and location as they are open to Tampa, Dallas and Chicago as possible locations for the hire. If interested or know someone interested, PM me or reply to this thread.
  12. Has anyone experienced this problem. I have C4 OS3.4.1. I have an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 17.4.1 I have a 2N door station and use the latest 2N driver for control4. in the C4 configuration I have enabled 2 custom buttons to allow me to operate a door and a gate. When someone calls, I receive the call in the Control4 app on my iPhone. When I answer the call I get the video but sometime the "pie" menu that leads to the two custom buttons is missing and is replaced with a video camera icon and then I am then unable to open the door. Other times the menu is present and works as expected. This problem seems to happen randomly. It can happen when answering an intercom call on my internal WiFi at home or when away from home on a mobile signal. I have included 2 screenshots - one where the menu is missing and a second where the menu is present. I noticed that when the menu is missing, the microphone is enabled and I have a camera-reversal icon present on screen. It's as if the Control4 app is not the app that has answered the call on the phone. When the pie menu is present, the microphone is muted at the start of the call and the menu replaces the video camera icon.Does anybody have any idea what is going wrong or how to fix this?
  13. Thanks. Is that the free one on the Control4 drivers list?
  14. Use the security light driver. Much simpler
  15. I have a few Lutron motion sensors. I have them programmed in HE to turn on lights to a dim setting when motion is detected. For example, when motion is detected in our master closet between the hours of 7am to 10pm, the closet lights are turned on at 50%. When motion is no longer detected, there is a brief delay, and then the lights are turned off. Sometimes, I need the lights at full brightness. If I wait for the motion sensor to turn on the lights at 50%, I can then hit the button for 100%. But if I hit the button first for 100%, and then the sensor detects motion, the brightness is dropped to 50%. So, I thought I could get around this by setting up the programming to say that when the sensor detects motion, IF it is between 7am and 10pm AND the lights are off, turn the lights on at 50%. This way, the motion sensor would not trigger anything if the lights were already turned on manually. However, it doesn't work and I can't figure out why. I've included a screenshot of the programming to see if anyone knows why it isn't working. Thanks.
  16. Yes the Luma DVR500 does make an IP stream available per coax camera. You need the appropriate Luma Camera drivers added to your project by your dealer.
  17. On a different topic, but still Unifi-related, is there any real-world problem with mixing APs of different generations? I have three of the new WiFi 7 APs in the house and am thinking of adding a fourth AP to the garage to help with some devices in the front of the house. I was thinking of saving a little money and buying the U6+, but my reading online has found some people who say that it could be a small problem to mix generations. Any thoughts?
  18. Hi, I recent aquired Luma DVR 500 8CH and have connected my coaxial cameras to it and also to my internal network. Luma VMS and Luma app is working fine. I was hoping the DVR will allocate port to ecah camera so that port can be entered into C4 project / driver but this DVR does not do that, so was wondering how does one integrate this into control 4 project ? as the DVR does not allocate IP or Port for the individual coax camera feeds, so how does one inetgrate into C4 and voew cameras as well as control teh DVR thru C4. Thanks in advance for reply.
  19. And looking through the XML it seems that IP control is turned on by doing the following: 1) Activate IP Control on your STB (this requires the Xfinity Remote and an Ethernet connection to the SB): * Press and Hold the Xfinity button for 3 seconds. * Press the "DOWN", "DOWN", "3" buttons. * This will open the STB Diagnostics Menu (there will be several seconds of lag while it loads). * Scroll down to 'Remote Controls' and select. * Scroll to IP Control and select. * With the Diagnostics IP Control page open: - Press and Hold "A" for 5 seconds. - Press "4", "7", "7" buttons ("I","P","R"). - Press and Hold "A" for 5 seconds. * A message will tell you that you are activating IP Control and your STB will reboot.
  20. Any update? I’m happy to test current iPad app via Test Flight. Control4 is one of the only things I can’t easily use with Vision Pro, and actual reality is just so tiresome….
  21. Do you have to do any config on the STBs to turn on IP control, or should it work by default? Do you need to set DHCP reservations so that the IP address stays constant?
  22. That's fine for Alexa to Control4 direction. He's wanting Control4 to trigger Alexa. Alexa won't trigger a routine off a Control4 device change. But will off some IOT products. For example; have a button that prompts Alexa to speak the weather, or a goodbye macro to arm a Ring Alarm, or other Alexa compatible but NOT Control4 compatible device. And If i'm wanting both directions, it's easier to program with the IOT device for both ways, rather than clutter with scenes. But if all you want is Alexa to Control4, than scenes does work as you noted.
  23. Glad to hear more people are having the same issue. It's definitely on the C4 side, if you were to play music over any other system or car you wouldn't have the same issue. It's also been brought up to Spotify and they mentioned no issues on their end and that it must be a C4 issue. I hope we can resolve this sooner rather than later because it is pretty annoying to deal with.
