  2. I personally despise the 'modern' C4 look but to each there own. I much prefer the 'traditional' version (especially in midnight black with an actual stainless steel cover). That said, tastes will differ. I do like these: https://www.axxind.com/smarthome/touch-keypads/ Rithum is another options that I've looked at but never used them. I'm concerned about speed of control a bit on those and just had zero time to trial them. In the end, we've done VERY few alternative options - because the added cost of alternative keypads with less snappy control, or much more expensive keypads that work just as well tends to convince even the most 'liquid' clients. We've played with some KNX options and things like the blacknova aria but it's rarely gone anywhere, and frankly they rarely work quite as well as a regular keypad. Most cases it's a few alternate options in specific locations such as decked out theatres but the majority still regular keypads. The problem with the overly fancy options is also that they POP a lot more. Which is nice in a demo setup and looks great on a web page showing one of them....but it tends to become this obvious thing sticking out on every wall of your house if you put them everywhere and actually can feel like MORE wall clutter, not less. Just something to consider. Also, while the 'touch' look is again nice, think of how you live and move around in the house. A 'tactile' keypad over the course of a bit of time become muscle memory - you walk across the house and merely 'feel' what button to press, do so blindly and move along and you get what you want. Generally for any touch options - you will ALWAYS stop and look at what you're doing. Not telling you NOT to do alternate and fancy options - but don't get drawn too much into the look of something, that may be better of not being noticeable at all. Those are touchscreen alternatives, as in an alternative for using a touchscreen, not so much keypads, and I find them rather 'meh'
  3. Yes, I much prefer these: https://axionlighting.com/product/axion-android-poe-touch-panels/ So much cheaper too....
  4. @msgreenf any thoughts on the bug report now that my recording has made it clearer? I may have to change all my programming to triple-tap to avoid the bug (since I sometimes press two buttons in close succession, but it's near impossible to push three buttons in close succession).
  5. Driver update released. Now supports Daily Totals (updated at 30 minute intervals). Thanks @Topfox for supporting testing.
  6. All of our drivers come with a free 30 day trial, so you can always test to see if it meets your requirements. That said, the intent of this driver is just to show and allow a user to alter the values of any Variables that have been created within Variables Agent, from within 'Agents' of Composer. I think I now understand what you are trying to achieve - Basically, you are suggest you would duplicate Variables within the Agents, so that whenever the driver variable changes, it updates the Agent Variable to the same value. Then, you would like the driver to show all these values all in the one WebUI, and potentially separated by 'Headings', eg. "HVAC", "Lock Status" etc. So the user could just scroll up/down and see everything? This is certainly achievable, using the same UI design, but would need to be a different driver.
  7. Just to let everyone know, v2 of System Scheduler has been released based on popular requests. v2 implemented the following new features: Rename 'Description' in the UI to 'Name' to align with Composer naming conventions. Implemented optional Pin code protection. Implemented ability to hide schedules.

  9. Sir, this is Tyler do you have anymore Halo remotes?

  10. No, it is still not working for me. I just checked on iOS and confirm that one of my cameras has a visible event on Monday, but it doesn't show up in the filter for the last 7 days. Thanks
  11. Has anybody had any success controlling the Lyngdorf TDAI 2170? Lyngdorf have a serial .c4i driver downloadable from their website. This allows some control (power on, volume up/down, mute toggle, preset filters) but the power off and HDMI commands do nothing. Weirdly when I tried the serial driver for a different Lyngdorf model (TDAI 3400) the HDMI commands do work but no power commands or preset filer commands work. The info notes for the driver say it is developed by Janus, they no longer list it and the driver is encrypted to stop editing in DriverEditor. Any help would be much appreciated.
  12. 12V to USB C works, although this is a bit bulky, I tried it with a PC supply, worked fine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DGDQ48H And of course, you can get them for a lot cheaper if you want to wait from Aliexpress... https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805320583139.html RyanE
  13. Dang, that's a long wait. I'll forward this to the Android team and ask them if they can get logs sooner.
  14. I'm told that OS 3.4.2 will be released at the end of this month. But, if you'd like to test it sooner, you can contact your dealer to get on the beta.
  15. Yes they are POE, We have found no real solution, and my DNS and everything is 8.8.8.8, and running all Unifi currently. I installed 1 g4 pro door bell and no delays and no missed calls. only thing is there is no intercom on the T4's but I have the doorbell push pop up the camera, so can see but just can't talk to the person via the T4
  16. I would not recommend using anything other than Control4 keypads, or a Control4 touchscreen. The Control4 keypads are modern looking if you go with the Contemporary button style...I install them in many client homes that are worth 10+ Million and they are perfectly happy with them.
  17. They don’t want to dilute their brand with having inexperienced companies selling their product. They realize people may have to learn the platform but they want them to know the business and have a solid business. i am in the US so can’t really help with other brands in the UK. I think you could probably look at Lutron or maybe Elan or RTI which may have easier requirements (Lutron not being a full blown automation system)
  18. That’s what I suspect. My dealer, who is terrific, told me to check next time to see if I can control from the Sonos app when I can’t control from c4…. Smart to test that.
  19. Possibly network loop if they're all hardwired
  20. Yes I rebooted tv and Sonos at its<location, not the C4 controller. I did reboot the Halo remote as well. I checked to be sure my Sonos were showing up as wired on my network not wireless, and they did. A mystery so far…. Has been stable a few days.
  21. Hi. I am fairly new to Control4 and currently building a house. I am installing a full C4 home automation system and I have been quoted for configurable keypads to be used every where. I wanted to know if there are any other smart control pads available that will work with the C4 system. I know one that works which is called Black Nova (https://blacknova.co/) These keypads look much more modern and was wondering if there were any other ones out there. Even if they touch screen control pads, that will be better and more modernised. Thanks
  22. Seems abit silly that you have to be and established company to get training when most people want to use the training to become more established. Can anyone recommend any other home automation/installation/electrical courses in the UK that has helped them in this sort of thing?
  23. Nothing new from C4 as far as I'm aware, not sure if there was a sonos update or not. What did you have to reboot to get it back? C4, The sonos pieces?
  24. Last week
  25. Did you ever find one? The one on vanco's website is for the BAV2500.
  26. C4 is a dealer model - so any official training is blocked behind password protected websites. There is software end users can use called Composer home edition and a simple google search will show you some manuals. But that is basically scratching the surface and again doesn’t include all the things locked to end users that only dealers can do with the system.
