IR beam requires IR beam installed, motion sensor requires keypad with motion sensor installed.  It can be added if you don't have it but not requried for operation.
It is fast becoming one of our top selling drivers.
Easy to setup, no cloud required and no internet required.  Means it is a solid installation that won't be effected by ISP or MyQ service disruptions.  Just works and will work forever.

@ILoveC4 i sent you this in response to your PM but thought that this should information should be a public in case anyone reads this thread in the future.
DriverCentral and the majority of driver marketplaces are tied closely into the dealer model that the industry is based off of.  It is history that stems all the way back to the Extra Vegetables days.  These marketplaces are not designed to be B2C for one off purchases as support for end users does not scale and any profit is essentially wiped out (or worse).  It is designed around a B2B model which involve dealer partnerships leading to skilling up dealers through repeat installations, usage and sales.
Note that whoever you purchased the 'licence' off of has you tied into their account. I am assuming that your 'licence' is the driverCentral project token.  This token enables the cloud driver to connect the project to a bundle of licences administrated in the driverCentral portal.  So my advice is to keep working with them as migration to another dealer is something that only driverCentral can do in their databases.  You cannot purchase from multiple dealers essentaily unless driverCentral migrate your project to their account.
Hope that helps clear things up.

alanchow got a reaction from Andrew luecke in Chowmain - Ultimate Hikvision Driver for Control4!
Due to chip shortages over COVID they had to re-engineer the doorstations to use a different chipset.
Hikvision is still working on their custom firmware for the new revision doorstations.
The driver will work for all PTZ cameras for Hikvision regardless of model.

Chowmain - Ultimate Hikvision Driver for Control4!
Hikvision, who is a popular surveillance manufacturer, produce a range of products for both residential and commercial applications.  As one of our top requested drivers we felt that we needed to create the ultimate Hikvision driver for Control4.
This driver pushes the integration of Hikvision by offering integration to NVR/DVRs, IP Cameras and Doorstation Intercoms which allows integrators to push the boundaries of security and home automation.  This means that surveillance is no longer just for security but can also be used to trigger motion-based programming like lighting.
    Features
    Doorstation Intercom
Integration to Control4's Communication Agent / SIP Server. Providing the ability to call Control4 touchscreens and mobile devices (4sight required) for both video and audio communications.
The Hikvision DS-KV8xx3-WME1 range of door stations can be configured automatically by the driver to work with Control4 for convenient set up and configuration
Ability to set Control4's Intercom Custom Button actions
Ability to trigger electronic locks (output 1 & 2)
Ability to use the door station as a regular IP camera stream
Automatic push notifications with snapshot for motion and/or call button press (requires 4sight)
Through Hikvision's alert stream technology, our driver can provide the following real time notifications for integrators to program against:
    Video motion detection alerts
    Call button press
    Line busy (no answer)
    Call Answered
Alarm 1 - 4 Triggered (traditionally 1 & 2 are used for door state closed, 3 & 4 is used for exit button pushed but can be used for other programming)
    NVR / DVR
Remote control simulation / Hikvision onscreen control over IP for I series NVR and K series DVR (via customised firmware)
    IP Cameras
    Control4 OS 3.0 Support
Supports PTZ & Non PTZ Cameras (through NVRs or direct)
View live camera stream on Control4 interface
PTZ control (Up, Down, Left, Right, Preset, Zoom)
Control4 Push Notification Snapshot Support (push notification photos to mobile phones)
    Live Events
Auto-sensing and re-connection of alert stream loss
Connect to cameras that are behind a Hikvision NVR
    Auto import of events including
    VMD (video motion detection)
    Tamper Detection

    Back to origin
    One touch patrol
    Reboot camera
    Auto Setup of Camera
You can set camera resolution configuration for best performance for Control4 via a single button press from Composer
You can set the current position as either a preset or home from Composer
    FAQ

What about Hikvisions NVR and DVR range?
The driver supports cameras connected to the rear of NVRs for live view of cameras along with PTZ and events. It also supports onscreen navigation for certain NVR and DVR products..
The following models provide addtional onscreen navigation via a customised firmware developed by Hikvision in partnership with us.
    TurboHD DVR - 72xxHUHI-K2 series
Network Video Recorders - 76/77/96xx I Series NVR
    What doorstation models are compatible?
The following models are compatible and require a customised firmware from Hikvision.  These firmwares are available via the US or AU websites linked at the bottom of this page.
    DS-KV8113-WME1
    DS-KV8413-WME1
    DS-KV8213-WME1
What cool things can we do with this driver?
    Cameras
The driver's Auto setup functionality makes configuration of the cameras quick and easy.
This driver provides the ability to attach snapshots to Control4 Push Notifications (4sight required). Tie this in with the camera's motion events and your customer can get notified (with an image) if the camera detections motion.
This camera provides live feedback of events which is useful if you want to tie in lighting to motion and other events.
Certain cameras have the ability to detect licence plates. These cameras provide events in Control4 along with variables on the detected plate number. Use it to open gates and garage doors automatically!
    NVRs / DVRs
View the Hikvision NVR and DVR onscreen display via its HDMI output and control it via IP. This is compatible with I series NVR and K series DVR products using a customised firmware that Hikvision developed for us.
    Doorstation Intercoms
Talk to people at your front door from any T3,T4 or iOS / Android mobile phone at home or remotely (requires 4sight).
Playback doorbell sounds across all speakers in the home when the call button is pushed
Automated porch/pathway lighting when motion is detected along
Send push notifications with image snapshot on motion and/or doorbell push
What products will this work for?
This will work with Hikvisions range of IP cameras, DVRs and NVRs as well as select doorstations. Some manufacturers OEM Hikvisions cameras and rebadge them as their own so it will also work with those cameras. Please test prior to licence purchase.

How do I find out more information about the driver?

Good question.  I don't have an answer to this.  We implemented the light on ratgdo's ESPHome firmware.  You should reach out to Paul from ratgdo to see how the light works for remote light switches.
Personally though i would just use any Control4 integrated light switch and get the ratgdo driver to turn the light on and off.  Feedback is instant so it'll work nicely.

I managed to figure out how to do the percentage open functionality.  Have implemented it as a one way command in the driver's commands.  This is so that i don't break the existing native Control4 garage door opener user experience that we have tied into.
Have also implemented discrete open and close functionality as well for supported models.
Please test this out in ESPHome first to ensure you have discrete open and close before implementing in Control4.

The camera is a MyQ product only. As such ratgdo can't talk to it as It does not talk security + 1.0 or security + 2.0.
We recommend replacing the camera with a Control4 integrable camera.
We have worked with all major camera manufacturers. You can find drivers for them via our website.

Have done some major updates over the past few weeks for the ratgdo Control4 driver.
    New features include
Ability to programatically move to a specific garage door position Discrete Open and Close commands for supported models (not all garage door models support open and close commands.  Some only do toggle). No Programming Automatic Push and Email Notifications (set through driver properties) for Garage Door Open Garage Door Close Garage Door Still Open (variable time defined in driver properties) Event on 'Garage Door Still Open'.  Can be used to fire off an audio announcement or other programming (use the properties for email and push notifications as this is quicker for notifications). The driver is pretty much feature complete now.  However if any of you have any suggestions please let me know.

No.  That is only licencing.  Licencing is designed to persist the last state if it cannot contact the licencing server.  This is important for jobs where there are sporadic or no internet connections (eg yacht or government facilities).

Just hooked my Ratgdo (Such a weird name) up today.  Works like a champ!  Gives full state of the door and exposes the door motor light, obstruction sensor, and Motion from Keypad to the Control4 UI via Alan's driver.
Definitely a good solution and great driver @alanchow!!

We have had a lot of interest in the ratgdo driver since we released it. For those who did not see my previous post abuot ratgdo it is a hardware based alternative to MyQ that allows provides local integration of Camberlain and Liftmaster garage motors. No cloud control, no subscriptions. Internet goes out and you will still be able to control your garage door.   The device is powered by USB. It requires 2-3 wires to connect up to your Chamberlain or Liftmaster garage motor and provides bi-directional control over motor control, built in light, irbeam/obstruction sensor feedback and motion sensor feedback.   As we have motor position feedback this means that you do not need to install reed switches to know the garage door position. The driver has implemented dual contact feedback. Out of the box it comes installed with the Garage Door (Sensor) driver but is also compatible with the 'Relay Garage Door Controller (OS 2.0+)' driver with dual contact closure bindings for fully open, partially open and closed feedback. Feedback is instantaneous due to the persistent connection Control4 has to the device so programming will happen as the motor reaches the exact positions.   The manufacturer has also provided an update to ratgdo. On top of Security + 2.0 integration they have now implemented Security + 1.0 support. As such you can now control motors manufactured 30 years ago with this!   From my understanding several of you did some pretty large orders. Due to the massive interest this caused the manufacturer to have a backlog. Those of you who ordered product when we announced the driver will have the orders shipped this week. This backlog from my discussions will be cleared by next week with orders being shipped within 24-48 hours of order receipt from then onwards. Backlogs should not happen after that as the manufacturer has increased production.

alanchow got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Air Conditioning integrating with Control4
Systems in the United states are usually seperate systems that are controlled in a pretty dumb way with a smart thermostat.  The logic to turn on and off these systems are within the thermostat itself.
Systems outside of the United States have essentially a user interface device that controls the HVAC system and also provides the HVAC system with a local room temperature.  As such wiring is usually proprietary to that manufacturer.
In terms of the actual HVAC system operation it can be a mix of gas and electricity though in Victoria, Australia new builds must be electricity only.  As such new systems tend to be inverter based.
Could go on more but to be honest I'm not a HVAC guy.  We just do lots of HVAC integration.
    Hope that helps.
