  1. IOS 2.8.2 out

Just updated eight other iOS apps, but receive this error when trying to download the Control4 2.8.2 update, "This item is no longer available".
  2. Advice / recommendation for pool control

Actually, the Control4 2.6 pool driver for Jandy/Zodiac iAqualink does not work properly (per my post #4 above). Specifically, there's a glitch when controlling the heater. (Makes me crazy because the interface is quite good). This thread explains the specifics of the problem: http://www.c4forums.com/topic/17241-control4-jandy-iaqualink-pool-heater-issue/?p=149159 This thread has a Control4 employee indicating they are working on it, but it is not resolved as of 2.7.2: http://www.c4forums.com/topic/16727-pentair-pool/?p=150433
  3. Advice / recommendation for pool control

Sadly, the Control4 pool driver (since version 2.6) doesn't work correctly with Jandy/Zodiac equipment with iAqualink. Control4 is aware of the problem, but no timeline for when/if there will be a resolution. Very frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. iOS9

I'm having a similar experience as Brad_The _Lucky with the C4 App: 1) Local access worked on all iOS9 public betas. 2) Remote access did not work on public beta 1 & 2, but is now working on beta 3. Yay! (If it matters, I'm on 2.6)
  5. You should totally check out this video from last month: https://developer.apple.com/videos/wwdc/2015/?id=210 It spells out how HomeKit devices talk to each other now (i.e.: Lutron Caseta) and in much greater detail for iOS9. (i.e.: scenes, triggers, events, schedules etc... ) For example, by default iOS9 includes 4 scenes for: wake-up, away, return and goodnight to control any HomeKit compatible devices.
  6. C4 needs to figure out a way to sell more products and make them more accessible. Times have changed - the "average joe" can now walk into an Apple retail store and walkout with: Belkin WeMo switches/sensors, Lutron Caseta switches, Ecobee3 thermostat, Nest thermostat, Rachio Iro irrigation, Philips Hue bulbs, Chamberlain garage controller, August door locks and Kwikset Kevo. http://store.apple.com/us/accessories/all-accessories/connected-home Another example - Target just opened up an experimental store in San Francisco called Target Open House that only sells connected home devices: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/248301
  7. Pentair Pool

    Thanks for the update!
  8. Pentair Pool

Jamie, appreciate your participation. Just wanted to highlight a couple of threads where customers have highlighted the new pool drivers do not work correctly with Jandy iAqualink systems. Specifically, the C4 app will turn on the heater, falsely report it's off, and then will not allow you to turn it off. Grateful if you could pass along for resolution. http://www.c4forums.com/topic/17094-pool-heater-status-not-displaying-correctly-on-control4-app/?hl=jandy http://www.c4forums.com/topic/17241-control4-jandy-iaqualink-pool-heater-issue/?hl=jandy
  9. Since you have frosted glass covers, do your pendants have the space for E11 to E12 adapters? http://www.amazon.com/Onite-Socket-Adapter-convert-Female/dp/B00KQHHRY4/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1435701115&sr=1-1&keywords=e11+to+e12+adapter
  10. I've been very happy with Cree LED bulbs... and they've just released a new candelabra bulb. (available at Home Depot). http://finance.yahoo.com/news/affordable-cree-led-candelabra-bulbs-130000677.html
  11. So lost...

Yes, absolutely all possible with Control4 as eggzlot has outlined. However, since one of your main goals is to improve life for your disabled wife, would voice control be beneficial to her? If yes, your timing is quite good - Lutron has just announced an Apple HomeKit compatible hub for their Caseta lighting and Serena shades that would give you the option of voice control via Siri. http://www.techhive.com/article/2929733/lutrons-caseta-lighting-controls-are-now-mostly-compatible-with-apples-homekit.html From a cost perspective, one Caseta in-wall dimmer (including a seperate remote) costs ~$60. It's the very early days of Apple HomeKit compatible product announcements, but most of what you outlined is shipping this month. And hopefully, Control4 will have HomeKit compatibility in the future too. (And if you're Google/Android user, Nest is having a press conference next week where they're also expected to make further HA product announcements which will likely include voice control).
  12. Pandora Internet Radio Driver

    Well, that's very cool!
  13. I've also had the IC for more than a year and overall I really like the product. So much better than the system it replaced. But, here's what I don't like: * website is terrible - specifically, difficult to find any information on new features (they do regularly update their firmware). * customer service is terrible - specifically, I've sent two email inquiries and they've never responded. * glitches - mostly trouble free, but had the same trouble as digital trader where Cloud and local programs were out of sync. Firmware update seemed to resolve that. * Control4 integration - my W1 is not currently integrated and a little unclear about if it can be or if I now need the HA version. No info or way to purchase the HA version on their website.
  14. I posted the exact same problem on May 12th :-( http://www.c4forums.com/topic/17094-pool-heater-status-not-displaying-correctly-on-control4-app/?hl=pool There is no "solar properties" check box in the new IP driver, but there is in the old "serial driver".
