This is an IR driver, designed to control the C71KW Android Boxes for DirecTV Stream. This DirecTV Stream Driver improves on the database version of the DirecTV HR24 in three ways. 1) Play/Pause commands are fixed on my driver. (They don't work properly on the HR24 driver. Either the play or pause doesn't work, and isn't recognized by the C71KW box.) 2) There are no traditional skip buttons on the DirecTV Stream box. It uses arrow left/right to jump along the recordings. My driver replaces the non-functional Skip FWD/Back with the appropriate left/right arrow commands. 3) The Channel # macro's on the HR24 sends an "ENTER" command which opens the MENU on the DirecTV Stream box. I've also had a few guys ask for clarification on the driver, so I'll answer those here: 1) This driver works on all OS versions that support c4z drivers, so this means 2.6 and newer, including 3.0. I just timed the release of this driver with the release of OS3.0. 2) The File Name says V4, which refers to the version of Apple TV Hardware. This driver will work on V3 and older Apple TV's, but is optomized for the new Apple TV hardware, that have the thick hardware, and includes the Apple TV App Store. 3) V6 is the driver revision, which includes the latest discrete reboot / resolution commands, as well as new 3D graphics/icons. The previous version was V4, and did not include the new graphics, and discrete reboot/resolution commands. V5 was an unreleased beta version which had flat icons. 4) This driver has been tested on HC800, and all EA processors. Due to the unique and precise nature of some of the commands, using special repeat rates, performance of this driver for the specialy commands like Jump Home, Wiggle Icons, and press & holds on arrow keys for fast scrolling may not work on older processors like the HC200/300/500 and the HC250.

Sounds like a bad ethernet port. How is Netplay in the mix? I'm not super familiar with Netplay, but is it an "App" on the TV, or is it another physical module behind the TV? I know it is responsible for handling IP video, and maybe it could be too chatty and causing the data port to stop responding after a while?

We sell hundreds of XBR series TV's every year, and utilize IP control on a large majority of them and haven't experienced this. It sounds like network hardware issues. Does your network switch show a link light, even when the TV "falls offline"? It could also be a couple other things. Try setting the TV to a static IP address, disable IPv6, and ID the TV via IP, instead of SDDP. See if performance changes then. It *could* be the data port on the TV itself is failing. This would be a much more difficult problem to address. I don't recommend it, but you could use wifi for a while and see if it works that way. We have used wifi for IP control in the past and haven't had issues with it. It just takes a couple seconds longer to turn on when using wifi. If you call Sony, they will ask you to update all your apps and firmwares to the latest version as well. If the port on the TV is dead, I would just switch to RS232 to IR control. The certified drivers support these methods as well. Just make sure to adjust the power-off delay on the certified driver to 5 seconds, instead of the default of 2 seconds, otherwise it won't work properly.

As other's have posted, jumped the neutral to the load will work. Getting a neutral is your best bet though. Have the electrician run a 14/3 to your fixture.

Unplug USB stick. Delete USB driver from Design tab. Plug USB back into controller. Reboot controller.
