  1. Remote Composer does not work with the latest version which has been the case for well over a month
  2. So if I'm just streaming my uncompressed FLAC files as is, I should have same sound quality as this MQA from my understanding. I'm not too concerned about network congestion since it's usually only 1 audio stream being used at a time and for storage I have a network hard drive array with more than enough space.
  3. So I'm still a bit confused. If I listen to most of my music via my FLAC files on network hard drive which in turn streams via my EA-5 through 2 C4 8 zone amps (not the newer versions), how does MQA work? I don't use any streaming services for music (every song I would want to listen to I have the physical media other than listening to Sirius streaming). Do I have to have my dealer perform some sort of setup? Also, if I check the MQA box for scanning my media, what's that supposed to do as compared to just listening to my FLAC files that are already scanned into my media library as is?
  4. I just added a few ripped CDs into my library and went to scan and noticed a new check box option for ENABLE MQA. Most of my audio files are FLAC if I could help it otherwise 320mbps MP3s. What does this scanning option do?
  5. Well, I've had about 30 devices reassigned to my floor level EA3 and might have made some difference on the LED backlighting. Can SR260 remotes be assigned to a controller/mesh as the 2 I have in kitchen and living room (right next to each other and the EA3 is in the living room) still have incredible lag at times. It looks like the SR250 remotes can be assigned to a controller but not the 260s?
  6. Do you have to disconnect each device after mesh is set up, re-identify, and the device automatically connects to the best signal mesh? Is it better to have fewer or more meshes such as one mesh per each controller or just enough to spread coverage out better? I have an EA-3 in main floor living room which is dead center of house. Another EA-3 is upstairs in tv room above the garage. My primary EA-5 is in my rack in basement utility room and my other EA-5 is just 2 rooms over in theater.
  7. Would adding another mesh and/or adding a CA-10 improve system performance better? Obviously, if adding a mesh makes things a bit more snappy for response that would be better than spending $4k+ on a CA-10 unless there would be other benefit to having the CA-10.
  8. If a mesh is added, say using my other EA-5 in my theater or even one of the EA-3s, they they automatically "capture" the closest devices or do the devices have to be assigned to a specific controller by dealer? What would be the benefit of a CA-10 in my system with that many devices (which doesn't include TV's, audio matrix, 2 C4 amps, etc)
  9. Yes, it appears they are all on one mesh running off the EA-5 in my rack. Would it be of benefit to have my dealer create additional mesh?
  10. Hello, just wanted some input on possibly adding a CA-10 to my system currently running on an EA-5. I also have an EA-5 running my theater and then 2 EA-3s running on 2 TVs for control. I have a total of 124 Zigbee devices not including 24 LIFX lights that are also controlled by the system. Just wondering what I could expect by adding a CA-10. I don't tend to have much lag other than what I had written in another post about the backlighting slow to change for events like garage door opening/closing but that seems to have improved.
  11. Will the new update fix the issue of using ComposerHE remotely?
  12. duh.... just saw that at the bottom. It must have reset with latest update as I have several rooms where I do keep all of the lights visible for ease.
  13. One additional finding I've noticed in the newest firmware in particular on screen display (using my phone) is that whereas I used to be able to see every light by bringing up lights, now only the lights associated to that room (controlled in Composer of course) show in each room. Is there a way to see all lights on one screen other than adding every light to every room in Composer?
  14. I have 10 remotes both 250s and 260s and I only have the issue with one of my 260s as well. Sounds like we are having same issue as it is a bit random.
  15. I've had issues with one of my 260s constantly doing this then it reconnects. As far as I know my zigbee network is otherwise fine...
  16. In testing the new version, it doesn't appear that remote connection is connecting. It appears to more or less timeout.... I'll try another network remotely to see if that is the case.
  17. I seem to remember now in my old GE Concord the sensors were listed in Composer but it makes sense that the icon/generic dummy sensors be bound to a specific sensor and a positive triggering could then be programmed to an event such as when opening a door, sensor says open, Composer programming says if door open then turn on this light.....
  18. One more Clare question, since Composer HE is currently broken and I cannot use it to do any programming until the recent update is fixed, I'm wondering if when sensors are added to a ClareOne security panel, those sensors are also seen as individual sensors in Composer and can be used to trigger actions as I used to do with my old GE Concord4 system (ie garage door opens, lights in house come on..... system arms to stay, certain lights turn on /off....etc)
  19. Question on considering the Clare system, is there just one main panel touchscreen CLR-C1-PNL1 and then any additional touchscreen panels are the auxiliary CLR-C1-ATP type or can you use the CLR-C1-PNL1 as multiple additional panels? Based on my reading it sounds like you can only have one main panel and the rest of the panels have to be the auxiliary CLR-C1-ATP?
  20. Home Assistant I am not familiar with... I was hoping there was a specific driver for the Bullfrog Hot Tubs that Control4 could use for controlling and say setting up a vacation mode type of macro
  21. There is a separate thread on the Bullfrog Spa that I'm following as I too want a Bullfrog Spa driver. The driver supposedly was listed at the link below but my dealer did not find the actual driver only some of the info files: https://github.com/garbled1/balboa_homeassistan
  22. Will the update be automatic, Composer HE update (new download), or is it something that dealer would have to update firmware?
  23. As far as a monitoring company, should there be any issue with doing a customer install of the panel/sensors and then just finding a monitoring service or has anyone had issues with monitoring companies wanting to install their own equipment?
  24. I was wondering how these panels are powered. So I could literally buy 1 panel, mount to the wall, power it, and all of the sensors I would install would be talking to that panel? Also, how are people powering them in locations that have no preexisting security wiring?
  25. https://www.alarmgrid.com/products/qolsys-iq-panel-4-verizon-powerg-319mhz Looks like this might be the correct one to purchase if I'm planning on using some of my previous sensors. Is there anything other than this panel needed for the core working of the system? I'm used to the GE Concord with the big metal box and the keypads just connected to it.
