  1. Use Lutron pico and a casetta hub, (contrary to documentation, the LEAP driver will work with the base hub, no pro hub necessary) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I has to google TBS blinds, the are a retailer of blinds, not a manufacturer at least from what I say. From their offering page I found the brands they carrry, which include Lutron, Somfy, Hunter Douglas, Qmotion, Axis, Bali, and others most of which will integrate but the gateway and method vary. Best bet is to identify the remote or app, in use and work backwards as to what they have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I use the official Windows 11 app everyday, it’s very helpful for remote programming and troubleshooting with clients. I had used the unofficial apk install for about a year (windows 11 upgrade broke my blue stacks, so I dug in). What was nice about the unofficial apk install was that intercom worked…. But it was hard to update, so I stick with the supported version.
  4. I think the ratgdo solution is amazing, it’s serial communication to the MyQ, extracts everything you need from 3 wires, and can even give you position of the garage by interpolating time between full open and full shut, it sees the motion and can turn the light on and off. It’s local control, and myQ can be mad but can’t change the existing serial protocol on units in the field, they may change their future protocol, but that would also be very difficult. I love that there are smart people out there making stuff like this. I ordered 5 units, I intend on learning how to make and flash them myself so I dont have to be dependent on the one source, which I think is extremely backordered. I plan on using dry contact and relay at first but will dig into the mqqt if no one else builds a driver in the next year.
  5. I just want to confirm that all information to and from the hub happens via the cloud, so once configured, codes will work as stored; however any programming against on user x unlock do y, will not work without the cloud connection? Does this all sound about right.
  6. I really like this idea, but so far I am unimpressed with the documentation and the response of support. Tailwind is working, but the driver does nothing.
  7. I am here guys, sorry that I have missed all of this, I have just been impossibly busy. I haven't had any time to update my driver, like Jerome said. He did a great job with his, maybe one day I will get to it, or open source the work I did. It was a fun project. Hope everyone is well, my e-mail is Adam@audioobsessions.com, if anyone wants to reach me. Happy Halloween! Adam
  8. I agree that c4 needs to improve its announcement speed, but I also don't think they are at full blame here from your discussion, as the announcement created probably has a manually added delay that your integrator for necessary to make the soundbar turn in to that input. So the crux of the problem here is the time it takes to turn your sounbar on and for it to receive sound, which is neither doorbird s or Control4's fault. Your solution is perhaps the best scenario. In my own home I also use my standard bell, which is then followed by a c4 announcement 3-4 seconds later. That 3-4 seconds is something I think control4 can and needs to shorten. 9. I believe the arguments around the native doorbird issues are valid. But the lag time to your sound bar is not a doorbird issue, and should be held against them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Is everyone overlooking the idea of sip integration with the built in intercom functionality? This would make audio relevant... I honestly haven't tried this and can't for a couple of weeks, but many ip cameras support sip in addition to mjpeg, and h.264.. The one that comes to mind is grandstream. Might be worth investigating. Also I have to just speak up about the nest Dropcam. Does everyone realize that this is an outbound "cloud" service? Do you really want your video being routed by third party servers... Constantly using up your bandwidth? Okay suit yourself... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Here a few reasons that someone may want this if they have c4: micro dimmer (client has wall sconces that the contractor added, but there is no switch, only the little nob on the bottom of the sconce)fanlinc module (client only has one power leg to the ceiling, and one decora spot on the wall... so control4 keypad, and fanlinc module)dimmable outlet (how cool is this, make the lamp dimmable, but have the outlet flush in the wall)battery scene controllers, aka portable decora keypads (why c4 doesn't offer this yet is beyond me, NYCE controls showed a drawing of one they want to doalso, the architectured (dual band 900mhz plus PLC) is really solid, and has worked well when I have used it.lastly.... price. Even with the licensed driver, which is a justified cost as it looks to have taken alot of effort, the cost saving is realized in only a few loads.
  12. My bet is that apps will go away altogether, in favor of across the board implementation of html5, with navigator becoming more exposed in driverworks. I don't think this is 2.8, but rather 3.0, and likely 2016-17 ish. Again just my thoughts, nothing to back it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wow, that sounds awesome! I will have to try this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I really want to try this, when you say no external software, are you saying that we can basically take factory defaulted insteon, and once the hub is connected to composer, we add and configure components without the insteon app?
  15. Most likely, if you pm me with an ip and credentials that work via lan, I can check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I honestly hadn't seen that David had written this driver, coincidentally it only worked because of the communication and efforts that I had put into resolving a few issues that Blue Iris server had with Control4. In either case, I know that the "cats out of the bag", which is why I introduced my blue iris driver this week. It is a fully baked driver with many properties, events, and actions. It supports all cameras that you can add to blue iris, with full PTZ controls, as well as virtual codes, location trigger events, and ability to trigger and change blue iris camera and profiles. I have sent David a license, and I hope that he will support my efforts in this. Please see my other thread for more information. The more support we get from the control4 community, the more features we will get support on from Ken at Blue Iris. http://www.c4forums.com/topic/16307-blue-iris-finally-a-windows-nvr-that-works-like-security-spy/ Thanks, Adam
