  1. Thanks for the info about the LOOKin Remote. I’ll lookin to it …
  2. Hi Alan/Andrew, I’m getting my integrator to add a bunch of Tuya wifi lights using your driver. I also have an IR controlled RGB light and was wondering if the Tuya driver works with wifi smarthubs like this - https://near.sg/collections/smart-home/products/universal-remote Near uses Tuya for all its lighting products etc, and I think(?) the smarthub is also a Tuya device.
  3. Finally getting around to integrating Alexa with Control4. Does the Generic IR Thermostat driver support voice commands via Alexa? I can’t figure out what voice command should be used. Any help would be most appreciated.
  4. Unfortunately not. I run the scripts off a Mac mini that is my media server. I would be greatly interested in beta testing / purchasing your ssh driver if go ahead and write it.
  5. Thanks jfh, I can manually recognise when a reboot is necessary - usually, my Zigbee becomes flaky, but the question I had for Matt was what conditions can be applied *programatically* before triggering an automatic reboot.
  6. Matt, could I understand what conditions you use (generally) before you trigger a power cycle? I'm getting an ethernet power strip (not a Wattbox or a Panamax cos I need 240v) and would like to figure out the best practice for using it. Thank you in advance

  8. Your suggestion could work if the CGI script can execute a shell command. I haven't touched Perl in years though ...
  9. I need the command to run when I switch to a particular video source on C4. It's to basically fire-up an application on my home media server (Mac Mini). For certain reasons, I can't have the app running all the time. So I plan to start the app when I switch to that source, and quit the app (via ssh) when I turn off the room or switch to another source. I'm open to alternatives but can't think of one ...
  10. Hi AK1, Here's the SSH command: ssh -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa username@IPaddress -t open "/path/appname" Thanks in advance!
  11. Hi, I need to SSH to a device in my home network to issue a command. Is there a driver that will allow me to execute / run a shell command? I've already tested the SSH command that I want to use from the C4 command line (after logging in with the 'secret' password) and it works. Just need to figure out how to use it programmatically from within C4. I tried the Chowmain Generic TCP driver but I think that only allows HTTP commands to be sent. Any help would be most appreciated.
  12. Dear Alan, Thank you the speedy reply! My dealer said it couldn't be done : )
  13. Dear Alan, There are plenty of countries (including where I live) where it's hot all year round, so there's never a need for a heater. Can the Generic Thermostat Driver (IR) be configured/modified/tweaked so that the "HEAT" options s not displayed? Perhaps you could let us know which parts of the code should be commented out. My split unit also doesn't have an "AUTO" mode. Can that be disabled / not displayed? Regards Kannan
