  1. ok, thanks Mitch. I haven’t used the system since the last update. I remember that going away at some point on my TVs and I was curious if I needed a cheap t3 touchscreen or something to accomplish my goal.
  2. Hey y’all, In my rent house I’ve had problems with renters unplugging my network gear so I’d like to lock the closet. The issue is my c4 thermostat is in that closet and has a remote temp sensor. If I lock the room is there a way to add the t-stat to the TV’s OSD so the guests can change the temperature, yet not have access to my media cabinet? Thanks! Luke
  3. Yea the issue is this used to be my home and it’s now a rent house and I have a property manager and no direct communication with the renter. So I need to be able to fix it myself or take a dealer with me when I go this weekend and the dealer isn’t returning my calls
  4. Ok this is better news! I can’t get the damn dealer to respond to me and this is a rent house I’ll only be at for a couple hours this weekend. I’ll try. Thank you!
  5. Do I have to be present for them to do it or can my dealer remote in and id?
  6. Hey, I’ve got an old Yale lock, it’s crapped out. Can I buy a replacement on Amazon, move the card over and be good to go? Anything I need to do in c4 or get a dealer involved to swap it? Thanks! Luke
  7. Electric is cheaper where I live. I believe some places in California have already banned gas

  9. No, to hook up c4 tstat you completely bypass the proprietary 4 wire carrier connection. It’s 1 or the other. And other makes the carrier system a single speed
  10. If you have a Sam installed it will work (kinda) they use the carrier driver. It allows only control of temp Setpoint. No scheduling. best bet is to try eBay and save the search for the part number.
  11. It’s yours! Thanks!
  12. You in Austin (noticed 512 In your name)? I went thru this whole deal a couple years ago and finally found a reputable alarm guy. PM me if you want his contact info.
  13. End user... I strongly disagree. How would my nanny change the temp in my house? She doesn’t have a smart phone, my t-stat is deep in an AV closet, and I abandoned dedicated crappy touch screens long ago. She doesn’t speak English and all I had to do was show her the red button on the sr260 and she could use everything immediately. Sure I can select my audio/video sources on my remotes but the “coolness” of control4 would be completely gone for me if I didn’t see it come up on my TV when I hit the red 4 button. Im not your ideal client. I’ve got self installed Lutron lighting, security, sonos everywhere and a ton used of gear off eBay. Control4 ties it all together and the TV GUI is my favorite part. My system isn’t designed or relies on any single brand.
  14. Will Concord4 with Superbus2000 serial connected alarm work in 3.0? What’s the deal with Alarm drivers? I missed that part...
  15. I’ve got an hc250 with just 1 relay (garage door) and 1 serial (alarm) connected, it’s stashed in a garage closet with decent climate control. As I understand it I have to remove the controller to do the upgrade. What would y’all recommend I do to get those two things into my project? Ive got an EA3 but running wires over to it would suck real, real bad. I guess I could buy an EA1 for my rack and stick the ea3 in the garage closet, but this seems like a huge waste. Any other ideas? Thanks for the help!
  16. You need a good dealer... Bunch of solid options on this site who can fix your setup remotely for a fraction of the cost of a local guy.
  17. I have a SAM module I can sell if anyone wants it. Just pm me
  18. SMHarmon, that was me that messaged about a Vue driver. I also need one... kinda looking at other options currently for streaming TV. From what I’ve found Sling and DirectvNow are the only two with Roku drivers
  19. I’d guess that it works with any of the newer style Infinity Touch thermostats that are WiFi capable. Great find Vstar!!!! Now someone smarter than me needs to write a driver
  20. Look up the model number on your unit and find an installation document. Should be pretty easy to figure out if you can hook up a standard t-stat.
  21. With Infinity you must use a Carrier thermostat to retain variable speed fan features/humidity/pressure sensing/damper control/reminders. You can use a dumb T-stat but you lose all of those features. Variable speed is the most important of those... it’s a 4 wire proprietary communicating system. The main panel does have the hookup for standard control “for emergency use only”.
