Problem is, as long as the stream providers prevent the data from being hashed completely, no on will be able to do it (automatically)

@msgreenf 😂 if you believe the hype, vinyl has better sound quality than cd's.

    Nano is POE.
Micro is POE, or WiFi with USB C power plug.
    Core is also POE.
It's so much more than privacy.
The experience of Josh is having a party and your best friend shows, Yo, play some tunes.
The other is when your obnoxious cousin shows up, you try to be polite but they're just so annoying that eventual you only talk to them when you really have to, and you think about how you're going to phrase it so they don't get all huffy and bring down the jam. Did they leave yet?

Just to note, they CAN be ordered separately, in packs of 10 AND any colour change kit includes them as well.
I would agree though, if they're not engraved yet, just order the engraving....

Order engravings (which you should have anyway) and then you get a new bottom bar for free.

Almost no-one, considering Control4 doesn't directly sell you stuff, nor setup any systems.
At least bother to troll properly 🤭

If that's really how you feel and are not just trolling these forums for the sake of it, I think you'll find you are in the minority there.
Control4 is a very robust and reliable system, but as with most similar products, it's only as good as the programmer/installer. There's many ways it can be configured incorrectly or at least not as well as it could be and that can result in a poor end user experience. Combined with perhaps dealing with an installer either unwilling or unable to come and fix any issues you are having this will often make clients feel they have been ripped off.
You say "Great salesman, worthless system" which sounds as though they could talk the talk but not walk the walk when it came to actually implementing what you wanted it to do, that in itself is a fault of the salesman and/or programmer and not the Control4 system itself.
As already suggested above, perhaps explaining what you have in your system and what issues you are having in more detail, I'm sure there are several of us on here who could help steer you in the right direction rather than just bad-mouthing the brand without any true basis on which to do so.

Installed about 13+ years ago.....never a problem after something is setup.
Many years on this forum, and this thread is a perfect example of an uneducated user probably working with a bad dealer. I'd say get a Harmony, but it looks like the old fashioned box of remotes and getting of your ass to turn off all the lights is the way to go.

This forum is full of helpful people. Professionals, power users, and the everyday user.  Just list out what's not working in your equipment and I'm sure somebody on here can give you a ton of advice to maximize the value you've already put in your system

In my opinion, it always comes done to the same assessment:
If you´ve more time than money, then go for open-source/DIY, if it´s the other way round, go for an integrator.
If, at the bottom of your heart, you´re actually a DIYler and actually want to play with the latest and greatest stuff  yourself, then you´ll never be happy to pay somebody else to do that for you. But if you´re just rational about getting specific functionality without being interested how it is delivered, then let somebody else do it for you.
In my opinion, it´s not about the pros and cons of system A or B, it´s more about your personal attitude towards DIY.

If you are including all the hardware and programming costs it likely won’t happen for 2k.  Maybe get the basics down then add over time.

i mean you need 6 sets of speakers.  They can be 50/pair or 500/pair.  And the cost of the wiring.

for lights you can buy Kasa lights and a driver or go for Control4 lights at 7-8x the price or the cheaper c4 essentials line.   You can also go for Lutron and a few other options.  You say 5 rooms - is there 1 switch per room or 5 per room?  Switches?  Dimmers?
sometimes it’s best to figure out the end goal, get a price and chip away at it.  Get the guts and wiring in place.  Then work these forums, eBay, etc and piece it together.  You may be happier with the additional functions of c4 lights vs the cheaper ones.

    Forum members,

I will be, at least for the time being, not taking on any further remote programming work.  I have switched career fields, and have been working in engineering for the past few months.  There simply are not enough hours in the day to adequately service the requests I receive.

With that, I would like to say that it has been an immense pleasure working with all of you, and getting to know you.  I started this thread back in 2011, and have nothing but positive things to say about the C4forums.com community.  Some of you have become real friends, and I am grateful for that.  I'll still be around, just on a much more limited basis.  There are several great integrators on this site: Matt Lowe, Mitch at Greenfield, AK1, Ari at Epic-Systems, etc.  I'm sure you guys will be in good hands with them.

I wish you all the best,  this forum got me started on a journey I could have never expected.  I greatly appreciate the support and patronage over the years.  A special thanks to Dan Levine and the guys at former Cytexone for providing this platform.  None of this would've been possible without them.

May your Zigbee be strong, and your networks robust always.

    Peace,
