  1. Yeah. Up to date. That helped for awhile but it always seems to be something. Maybe I got a lemon
  2. My 310 has been flaky for years. Recent trouble has been more ISP related but thinking about swapping it out for a Firewalla or maybe something else. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  3. I’m with you on the ISP fixing it. If only I could find someone at Comcast that could do anything about it. Technician is coming out to my house in a couple of days. I’m sure he’ll check the cables and say it’s fine and say he can’t do anything about upstream issues. Really frustrating.
  4. Taking modem out of bridge mode prevents the need for reboot but obviously isn't ideal.
  5. I think I finally figured out the problem. Talked to two neighbors who have been experiencing the internet dropping when they are on zoom work calls. Brief interruptions of a few seconds to a minute. Their internet comes back online after that. For whatever reason the brief pause freezes the Araknis 310 router and requires a reboot. My neighbors routers don't seem to have the same issue. Not sure if there is anything I can try to fix that. Comcast is supposedly coming out to look at the issue but it's so hard to find anyone that knows what's going on to talk to in customer service.
  6. Thank you. First switch is a smaller poe switch used just for my access points. The second switch is for everything else (tv's/hardwired pc's/etc). Right now the 310 router connects to each directly. Have been having issues with connectivity/dns resolution and am grasping at straws trying different things which is why this crossed my mind.
  7. My xfinitiy gateway in bridge mode conected to my araknis 310 router which is connected to a 210 and a 110 switch. Should the 110 switch receive connectivity from the 310 router or from the 210 switch?
  8. Thanks macosr....firmware and DNS updated. I actually was wondering if it was an upstream issue myself but when I test with a laptop connected to the cable modem via an ethernet cord, I still have connectivity even when everything else is down. That's what led me to believe it has something to due with my Araknis 310 router. Really frustrating. Its seems to be working fine when I have bridge mode disabled so for now I'll just leave that even though it feels like a suboptimal solution.
  9. Doesn't seem like Sonos is the problem. Is there an easy way to figure out if an IP address conflict is the issue?
  10. Thanks. I’ll try that. I know I have at least one Play Bar that’s connected via Ethernet. I’ll check the other Sonos speakers too. I appreciate the suggestion.
  11. I do have Sonos players in my system. I think they are tied into Control4 but I really only use them through the Sonos app. What’s the best way to test if that’s my issue?

  13. I've had the 310 for a few years. In the beginning I had a big issue where i had to reboot every couple of days because of DNS errors but fixed that by changing the DNS servers to google/cloudfare. I recently had a couple day internet outage and tried a whole bunch of stuff including factory resetting the gateway. My internet came back on randomly but now I am back to DNS issues even with the manual DNS settings. The weird thing is the only way to get connectivity back is to take my comcast gateway out of bridge mode. I can then put back into bridge mode and it continues to work but every day or two i completely lose connectivity. Anyone ever come across something similar?
  14. I have a mixed C4 and sonos home. Sonos is my primary music for our bedrooms. C4 controls music and entertainment in the rest of the home. I'd love to have everything in Control4 but it seems like i'm just better off using the Sonos app for the bedrooms. Am I missing anything?
  15. He showed me in the software where it showed where I am on version 2.6 (I think) and he pulled up the drop down menu and said the option to upgrade to 3.0 wasn’t there
