  1. Hi everyone, have been making improvements on my control4 system. Trying to find out the right specs on digital cable Impedance, I have a EA3 controller and I am using the coax digital output. the internet is all over showing video cables 75 ohms , audio/data cables at 50 ohms. last night I tried using different rca coax cables and some worked and some did not work. Do not have a cable meter at this time but I assume if were spending money and time on all this equipment confirming we are using the right cables is not a bad policy.
  2. Thanks for the good info, I have HC800, EA3, C4 audio matrix switch, C4 amp, Parasound Preamp P6 & Parasound Amp HCA 1000a and Martin Logan 35XTi speakers and Parasound Zamp V3 amp. will try using different setup's and see what works better. (Not sure what goes inside the c4 audio matrix switch that may degrade or tint the audio signal before it gets to the Amp.)
  3. 1 Looking to find out more about the audio quality and technology types being used on some of the main C4 controllers. 2 HC800, EA3 and Core3 what DAC (digital to Analog Converter) are being used and are they close to an audiophile gear quality. 3 Does it make sense to route the digital signal to a 3rd party higher quality Preamp?
  4. wonder if HC800 controller will work connected straight to a "dumb" amplifier this is without an audio matrix switch and without an preamp can the HC800 be able to control volume?
  5. Hi everyone, I have a EA1 one zone only. How can I connect a speaker amp for audio if there's no secondary stereo output available? hdmi goes to tv for video/audio. So if I understand this right, with EA1 I am stock with one tv speakers only? (HC250 had a separate stereo output to run a Amp)
