  1. Hi there, Does anyone know if the Control Leaf 4k Ultra 6x6 Media Matrix can handle fades or other smooth transitions between HDMI inputs? I run the tech department for our church, and we were sold on a Control4 Leaf 4k Ultra 6x6 Media Matrix to handle the switching of our multiple HDMI sources being fed to a projector via ethernet and balun. We were previously using an inexpensive Binary switcher, which worked fine, but had slow switch times and left us with the dreaded blue screen between. We were told that this Control4 matrix would eliminate the slow switches and we could avoid the blue screen. However, our installer hasn't been able to speed up the switching fast enough to create a professional seamless experience. I've witnessed fades and other useful features on a Barco presentation switcher. I realize these can run more expensive, but we paid $5k for the Control4 system, plus the installer's labor fees, and it seems like for that much money, it should be able to handle things more gracefully. I would be so grateful for any help!
  2. Looking for pre-owned: 1) LU642D - I’m open to 8x8, but probably only need 6x6 2) 8-zone amp - Open to non-matrix (Triad?) if I can find the matrix above, otherwise needs to be matrix Please PM me. I’m in DFW area if anyone is local
  3. I’m itching to upgrade my current setup with a 4K matrix switch, but worried I won’t benefit much from it. Is there something I’m missing or is it just a waste of money? I have 3 TVs on C4 (2 are 4K) and one 4K TV not on C4. Each TV has its own DirecTV box and there’s a sprinkling of DVD players and Apple TVs here and there. I understand the obvious benefit of distributed video (eliminating duplicative sources) and it will let me bring the 4th TV on, but will it prevent me from distributing 4K content anywhere because of the one TV that’s not 4K (lowest common denominator)? I’ve been eyeing the LU642D so I can also play TV audio in a couple zones that rely on a TV from the adjoining room (think open floor plan). Also, I have 3 receivers that distribute to the 3 C4 TVs and also Power 5 audio zones (2 are obviously zone 2s). The house is wired for 4 more rooms of speakers, but I haven’t installed them yet. If/when I do, do I need a matrix amp? Or can I get away with using the video matrix into a non-matrix amp? I know I will still need 1-2 receivers for surround in certain rooms, so thinking 8x8. Thanks for the assistance

  5. Denon Professionnal DN-508MX driver for Control4 https://www.denonpro.com/products/view/dn-508mx A good alternative to DBX ZonePro for your Control4 commercial audio projects! We've just released a Control4 driver for this nice commercial audio mixer. If feature 5 stereo inputs, 8 zone output and 5 mixing Mic/Line inputs (all balanced or unbalanced). The driver integrate most of the matrix features in Control and take advantage of WebView to allow your customer to interact with the device Web Mixer right from the T3 touchscreen. So you get the best of both world! Control4 integration for keypad binding, easy volume and zone control and deeper mixer control through the Web Mixer. And best of all... it's much cheaper than the DBX Zone Pro! The driver is available at Houselogix: http://www.houselogix.com/shop/denon-pro-dn-508mx-control4-driver
  6. Hello all, I am trying to create a driver for the JTECH-4K88-EX. Output 8 has an optical S/PDIF and RCA analog output. When I add these connections to the driver, it gives me a second output 8 and the second output 8 follows output 1 (and vice versa). Does anyone know how I can change it so that both output 8's are in sync with each other and not the second output 8 being in sync with output 1? I have attached a picture for reference.
  7. Currently running a 2.8.1 Control4 system with an hdmi matrix to distribute video for 8 sources, 4 zones (all at 1080p). Everything works great... 90% of the time. I'm looking to upgrade at least my primary zone/HT up to 4k... which of course gives me dread since I'm currently using the hdmi matrix and it's not feasible to upgrade every screen in every zone. I've been reading about JAP and VS and am very excited by what they seem to offer. Both seem like great systems and users of both seem to have little to no complaints. I'm having a hard time doing a direct comparison of the two, so thought you guys can help me out with a few questions: 1) Cost to install. Sounds like VS might be cheaper? Are they at least close? I can't find much by way of pricing for JAP. 2) Is one better for using a mix of 4k and 1080p sources AND a mix of 4k and 1080p displays? 3) Do both have licensing costs? VS mentions them and says that once purchased, you can upgrade for life. Is that similar with JAP? 4) Can both do PIP and/or tiling and/or a video wall? 5) Do either integrate with Control4 better? 6) Do either work better for audio extraction or down mixing since my HT is 7.1 and all other zones are analog stereo through a Control4 matrix amp? (I currently use an Atlona HDMI audio extractor on HDMI output 5 that mirrors my HT output and then feeds the analog audio to the C4 amp. More details if requested) 7) Do either work better for streaming to my phone/tablet as a wireless display? 8) Are either better suited for Distributing A/V for gaming consoles (latency, etc.) 9) Any other perks for one over the other that I haven't thought about yet? Lol. That should give you guys something to chew on! Feel free to reply about any of the above questions without needing to answer them all at once. Thanks in advance!
  8. Hi, Can Control4 pull an audio source from the Denon AVR-X2400H (or any other Denon amp with HEOS) and play that sound to another room that has a HEOS1/3/5/7 speaker? Setup: EA3 with the C4-LU642L-KIT. Distributed UHD to 4x bedrooms. Denon amp in lounge with 4 different audio sources plugged into the Denon amp. Audio sources are SAT1, SAT2, SAT3 and Apple TV. Can I distribute the audio sources throughout the house using HEOS speakers in the bedrooms and other areas? Or will I need either the Denon Heos Superlink or the C4 4zone matrix?
  9. I was going to do an audio matrix and run HDMI baluns to the TV's from the rack. In a couple zones the matrix would switch the in ceiling speakers from TV to Sonos and distribute Sonos or whatever. Is it better to just do a video matrix + audio matrix. Cost will probably be a lot higher. Also it sounds like it would be complex programming to get it all working. Also concerned now that I am at the mercy of the matrix to have anything work. If I have HDMI baluns from the cable boxes in the rack I could always just use the audio from the Tv's if there is a problem. Matrix just sounds to be complicated and problematic. Thoughts?
  10. I have a 4-Zone matrix amplifier added in one of the rooms and a touchscreen. I am able to play the music successfully in the room that I have the amplifier and the touchscreen in. But when I select a different room from the touch screen and play the music it still plays in the first room (Mr. Will's Office) and not in the demo room or the marketing room (see the attached picture). Any idea what am I doing wrong here?
  11. Hi! I'm looking for some advise. As part of a long planned renovation, I am looking to do something like this: My question is, with the above setup, would I need to have a Audio Matrix if I were to only use Digital input sources / sharebridge from the EA5? What value does the Wireless Music Bridge bring if sharebridge is built into the C4 Controller? Thanks in advance!
  12. Trying to make sure I have my mind wrapped around using a Nintendo Switch in a video matrix setup. Either a HDBaseT extender or wireless HDMI right? Anybody seen any better options for wireless HDMI than this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0092T3E3A/ref=twister_B01KOIAKD4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

  21. I hoping someone her can assist me in troubleshooting my issue. Up until yesterday I had video and sound from the source of my choice to my Tv's I get home last night and while the TV will turn on no feed from any selected source (cable, apple tv, roku) would show up. The TV would only display " select a video source". I know that my system is working because all other features work fine. I know the TVs work because they all turn on. All my sources are powered. I have rebooted the system, no change. What else can I do. My dealer cant see me until Jan!
  22. I never thought I would "need" a video matrix, as they always seems way too expensive and unnecessary. I'm starting to see how useful one might be and also that there are some that aren't in the $1000's of dollar range. Any recommendations on a decent 4x4 matrix that integrates well with Control4? Thanks!

  24. Greetings, I'm completely new to this and did some research but I would still need help. This is for my friend who is building his new house and so far he will have 6 zones. Based on what I researched I found that the Control C4 Matrix amplifier with 8 zones would be the one to go with. My main question would be what else would I need with this. He as the wires already setup in all rooms and they all go into this smaller room where the c4 will sit... and not sure which speakers yet. He wants to be able to connect several iphone devices to it and control/stream music in different rooms. Can 2 users control 2 zones sperately at the same time? and can they stream audio into the c4 through the WiFi in whicever zone they want with this c4 matrix controller? Besides the C4 matrix amp and a couple of nice routers what else would be needed to make this work properly or what options do I have? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You much!! Chris
  25. I just had a Leaf LU642NAP video matrix installed. It has 6 inputs: 2 receivers; a Roku; PS3; Blueray player and the HC800. Instead of inputting the PS3 and blue ray player directly into the matrix, my preference was to put them as inputs into my Integra DRX-2 receiver and have the output from the receiver be an input into the matrix. My installer felt like it should work but when he hooked it up, no video would pass through. Is there any reason why this shouldn't work? Perhaps the HDMI output from the Integra receiver isn't recognized or compatible as an input into the Leaf? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
