  1. Chowmain - Control By Web Driver Set ControlByWeb manufactures IP based monitoring and control devices that provide various inputs and outputs such as relays, digital inputs, analog inputs, 1-wire bus for monitoring of temperature & humidity, etc. Chowmain has integrated the X-310 and X-320 ControlByWeb devices into Control4 to expose their IO's for various integration requirements. X-310 Features 4 x relay outputs 4 x sensor inputs - NOTE – Control4 polls the sensors. As such it may take upto 5 seconds for the input to respond. Do not use the inputs if timing is crucial. These products are good for adding additional contacts, relays, temperature sensors and other analog sensors that are not native to Control4. What models will this work for? We have currently integrated the X-310 and X-320 models. We have a X-332 on order so we will be adding that to this driver licence shortly. We are looking at integrating other models as well so if you have one let us know and we'll work with you to integrate it. How do I find out more information about the driver? Please see the links below for more information about the driver. Chowmain Website Download X-310 Driver Installation Guide Download X-320 Driver Installation Guide How do I buy the driver? 2. I am wondering if there are any other knx motion sensor drivers available, than the one in the library? The one in library does not seem to show up as a motion sensor in the app. And the driver has a relay output that cannot be connected with a generic motion sensor driver, as those are contact. Anyone with a solution to this? I have been searching but not finding anything so far. It seems a bit strange that this isn't more common. EDIT: I did find this KNX Sensor driver with 1 group address, that has 1 contact output, which means it can be used for many things. So that can then be linked with a generic motion sensor driver. https://technet.genesis-technologies.ch/control4-drivers/knx/sensors-and-relays/
  3. Hi Guys Please Help! - I have had a new C4 DS2 installed - however, the relay toggle is giving me an issue in that the monostable switch-on duration is too long and thus causes the gate relay to open and close again! I have logged into the Web UI and there is a section under hardware called switches which allows you to configure the switch duration of realy1 and resolved the issue, however, I do not know how to make this configuration work when selecting the relay1 toggle in the Control 4 Composer - it seems to call a standard profile? Thanks
  4. I am trying to edit a custom button driver so that it has a relay input. I have managed to create the input, but it seems to do nothing. I think it might have to do with the LUA coding. Anyone that can help out on this? I am not experienced with this stuff, so I am not familiar with some coding terms. driver.lua
  5. I have some outdoor lights that I want to control by Control4. Wireless is the only option as my house is already finished. The problem that I am facing is that the old conventional switches are located on the outside and hence they get subjected to rain, dust, sunlight etc. Is there any wireless outdoor switch that can support such high temperatures and weather conditions and allow me to control the lights from my portable touch screen?

Hi guy's just wondering. Client wants to integrate blinds with C4. He has QMT (Quiet Motor Technology), didn't find so far way to control it except with some relay. Im sure C4 zigbee relay will work. Just wondering, is there some another solution (zwave or anything else) I can use? Thanks.
  7. Hi. We are controlling a curtain motor through dry contact using One Card Access wireless relay. So the motor dry contact has 4 lines: 1. Manual UP 2. Manual DOWN 3. Manual STOP 4. Manual COM Manual combinations we can create: 1. Up+Com = Motor UP 2. Down+Com = Motor DOWN 3. Up+Down+Com = Motor STOP 4. Com+Stop = Motor STOP So for controlling the motor, we are using Manual UP+COM and Manual DOWN+COM through Card Access wireless relay (using both the relays). But through this stop function doesn't work. Can someone please suggest any programming through which we can use Combination number 3 and stop the motor? We tried programming Stop function = UP+DOWN relay, but through this motor stops only for a second and reverses it's direction. Attached: Drawings Any help will be much appreciated. Let me know if any doubts. Thanks!
  8. Chowmain - Generic Relay Driver (IR) Driver Control4 allows for you to easily integrate infra red based audio/visual devices but it does not give you the ability to integrate infra red based motorized/relay devices. This is where the Chowmain generic relay driver comes in. With customizable properties where you can enter in IR HEX codes you can now integrate infra red based motorized/relay devices into Control4 with the correct icon. Features Definable On/Off Hex IR codes in properties * Easy to manage * Can have multiple copies of the same driver with different IR codes IR Binding * You can bind it to any infra red output in your Control4 system. Relay Binding * Match it up to the nearest icon for your device On/Off/Toggle functions * With notifications to the proxy means that the client will know when the device is on/off (note that as it is IR based/without feedback it is assumed On/Off) Frequently Asked Questions Can you give us some examples of how we could use this driver? * This driver is useful for integrating IR based motorised devices into Control4. This includes IR based blinds, fans, power outlets and more Are there any other cool things we can do with this driver? * Since the driver has definable properties you can have multiple drivers connected to the same IR port. This includes the IR blaster on supported controllers. This means that you can control any amount of IR based motorised devices on a singular IR port (upto the limitations of the port). What hardware will this work on? This driver will work on any IR controllable device through any IR output compatible with Control4. Examples include. * Gas Fireplaces * Blinds * Fans * Motorised Lifts * Motorised Screens * Power Outlets How do I find out more information about the driver? 9. Chowmain - Relay to Light Driver There are numerous devices in Control4 that have relay outputs. These relays can be used to switch numerous devices on and off including lighting. Control4 do not have a method of natively displaying these relay devices as lighting devices. This driver will allow you to connect a relay output and display it as a ON/OFF lighting device. Features Works with Advanced Lighting ScenesOn/Off control from navigatorOn/Off feedback from the relay Frequently Asked Questions Can you give us some examples of how we could use this driver? This driver enables you to use 3rd party relay devices to convert them to lights in Control4 if the 3rd party device doesn't already have a driver for lighting. Will work on security systems that support relay outputs, card access products, axxess products, control4 IO extender/controllers and more. How do I find out more information about the driver? 10. Stupid Question Alert: Ok I just ordered a Somfy Dry Contact Interface which has four wires, Red Black Green White. Green is the Common and the three other color control Up, Down, and Stop. So if I put the Red, Black, and White on the NO Contact 1,2,3 of say an HC800 or an Axxess Relay/Contact do I then just pigtail the Green (com) wire into each of those contacts? I'm guessing yes

I'm looking for a way to control a cat door. I want to lock it and unlock it at certain times from C4 using a schedule or when I manually lock and unlock it. What step motor do I use? I assume I will use a card access relay set to toggle. Thanks, Sean
