Billiam Posted August 8, 2013 Share Posted August 8, 2013 When I log into my.control4.com I see a list of available software to download - Home Edition, Media Edition, the phone apps... Each is a drop-down menu with various releases and a DOWNLOAD button next to it. There's no download button next to the HE menu when I go to the page. I bought Home Edition. It shows I have a valid license for it on an adjacent page.Now here's why I'm pissed. I called Control 4 to inquire who can fit this. Surely they have a support number where I can rattle off whatever serial numbers they need to prove I should have access. I was told they can't help me. I have to call my dealer, wait for a call back sometime within 2 days and waste HIS time calling the exact same people I'm not allowed to talk to. I wasn't looking for a support staff to tell me how to program my system or ask why my remote was slow, I was calling to nicely complain about something broken in THEIR system and get it fixed. A live person, an email to somebody who controls this stuff.... I ended up searching in the source code of the webpage, found the link the page was hiding from me and got the software but I shouldn't have to do that. Obviously. Cyknight Posted August 8, 2013 Share Posted August 8, 2013 I can't comment on C4's accessibility really - I am a dealer after all so my experience is a little different there, but one place to put this stuff is here.There are several c4 employees as well as dealers here - and something like this WILL make it to C4 from here. Not ideal but...There were some issues with the new customer portal and HE as well as 2.5 not showing up early on - and that was passed on as well and AFAIK was taken care of.So following Mat, please state which browser, version of browser and if you're using proxies - so that it can be reproduced and hopefully taken care of. Tokead Posted August 8, 2013 Share Posted August 8, 2013 I couldn't download a copy two days ago. Running latest version of Firefox. All the other software displayed the download button. You would think that the dealers would be demanding some level of consumer report rather than deferring everything to them, especially things that are completely outside their span of control. It seems that when I enter the page the DOWNLOAD isn't there for Home Edition AND for Media Edition. Matt Posted October 3, 2013 Share Posted October 3, 2013 Sorry, I went through the entire account purchase order and I don’t ever show a home edition license purchased. I do show that you have purchased other subscription codes from several other dealers, but not a HE license. Do you have the purchase order by chance?
