Steven/Homex,

Apologies but some how I have released a dev version by mistake.

I have fixed the issue and uploaded to the update site.

You should now be able to do a Check For Updates on Driver Central and it will download the new version. Then take the Install Update action.

Worst case Force Updates and also Restart Director but you should not need to do this.

Thanks

David

Did that.  Updated to 2.2.3 now.  Even tried worst case.  Still no results.

Here are some screen shots...maybe I'm not seeing the obvious...

http://ge.tt/5iHdKrI1.

I think this is to do with the media path, I've only tested with SMB and NFS.

Can you get the result of :-

http://192.168.10.90:51414/?command=GetTitlePlayOptionsForDune&id=1&apikey=bi9y0

I will get to the bottom of the problem and fix this.

Thanks

David

Hi David,

MyMovies point to online File

Here is my result for http://192.168.2.30:51414/?command=GetTitlePlayOptionsForDune&id=1&apikey=5yp2u

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
<Response status="ok"/>

I have changed id to 37 and get the following results:

<Response status="ok">
<PlayOption Name="Disc 1" Type="BluRay" Path="smb://PCNAS/Movies/Man of Steel/Man of Steel 2013.iso"/>
</Response>

but nothing update to Control4.

Regards
Steven

What is the Media Path set to in your Storage NAS on Control4. You can see this from the Properties of the driver. This was the issue with Homex.

Thanks

Latest version working well.  David's been working hard on it the last couple of days - remoting in to see how its going with my setup.

Tonight I was able to clear the database and then repopulate it with my test sample.

The key seemed to be in the media path.  It wasn't previously editable, but now that it is - if it isn't right you can edit it.

I don't know how hard these would be to implement, but here are some suggestions for additional drivers for your driver bundle:

The ability to write text to a file on another PC. Take as parameters the host name or IP, file name, authentication info and text to be written.

Have some way to receive data from a PC and throw it into a C4 variable.

Write messages to Growl.

Hey David, I have a scenario for you for MyMovies.  If I'm reading correctly, the MyMovies driver now supports NFS.  Mine are not importing and I think I know why but not sure how to solve it.

NAS Setup:

  • Movies located in folder called "movies" under share "video" (e.g., \\192.168.1.10\video\movies
  • The NFS mountpoint of the video share is /volume1/video

MyMovies Meta Setup:

  • Using NFS - output of the GetTitlePlayOptionsForDune is below
  • <PlayOption Name="Disc 1" Type="BluRay" Path="nfs://192.168.1.10:/volume1/video/Movies/Casino.1995"/>

Control4 Setup:

  • Network File Storage pointing to: \\192.168.1.10\video

I suspect it's not importing because the nfs path includes "volume1" while the C4 location does not.  Perhaps I'm not properly specifying the NFS connection within the Network File Storage driver (I tried various methods but it wouldn't connect).  This works fine over SMB but not NFS.

Any tips to what I'm doing wrong here?  Unfortunately, I can't change the NFS mountpoint on the NAS.

Thanks!

Eric

Eric,

Do you have the version of the driver that allows you yo modify the Media Path?

This should allow you to enter the path that matches the MyMovies setup.

Thanks

David

Ah, did a reboot and all is well.  I edited the path and it works great.  Thanks, David!

  • 2 months later...

I have a question about the SMTP Client driver.

I have been able to get an email sent from both the Quick Email Message as well as the method to use the C4 Email notification.

In both cases, the body of the text is blank.

I am sending the email and receiving it via gmail. It all looks OK, but no body text.

Any ideas?

Brian

After the DriverCentral updated to 2.2.2, the SMTP-driver stays on 2.2.1 and says: (Driver Central Connections needed.)
In connections the drivers are connected. Did try to delete them a couple of times both from composer and driver-editor, and re-install. With the same result.
When I push "test connection"i get: [string "Lua Code"]:145: attempt to index global 'misc' (a nil value) (ExecuteCommand)

There is a problem due to the update code changing. Do you have the Force update action on driver Central, if so then try that and reboot.

I'm finishing some enhancements to the email driver and will then post all the drivers.

Thanks

David

Hi, hope someone can help.  My dealer installed the Stonetree Central and Stonetree SMTP drivers. Even though both drivers are on ver 2.2.2, we get the same error message as above.  Any ideas what needs to be done to get the drivers working?

Been a litle busy. All drivers now updated to new c4z format and working fine. Have consolidated SMTP driver to core Central and added atrachment support. Working on some other handy bits for remote access.

Will release soon..

Thanks

David

I'm interested to here more about the attachment support.

I'm a Composer HE user.  Am I be able to install driver this myself or would I need to contact my dealer?

Dealer.  And if your regular dealer doesn't want to bother with it, get a remote dealer from this forum.

Does the SMTP Client driver still work?  I am trying to use it with Gmail and I am getting the following error:

[string "Lua Code"]:145: attempt to index global 'misc' (a nil value) (ExecuteCommand)

It used t work for me but stopped somwhere along the line.
