Anyone know if or how to change my receiver static IP address? I have a new Denon and I updated it in the receiver but I can't seem to figure out how to do it on the composer side. Can the home addition do this? Or only the pro addition? Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using the latest composer addition 2,2

:I have a new Denon" - if you're saying you changed the receiver, even if it was a Denon before, it may take more than just setting the IP adress. One models IP driver may not work at all with a different model.

If it's the same model, just set the new receiver to the same IP the old one was on.

We did use a lot of Denon at one point but have switched over to Integra.  Making sure you have the latest firmware from Denon and the latest C4 driver can go a long ways towards making it work smoothly.  Cyknight's right though - just set it to the IP address already set up in C4.  Make sure that you've got network standby set on as well.

Thanks guys! How do I know what the previous IP address is? No I didn't change the receiver, I changed my router, and it is giving out all new IP addresses, so I gave an IP address to the Denon but I don't know how to do it on the control 4 side. How do I find out what IP address it has for the receiver? I can't upgrade my director to the new software as one member suggested. How do I add a new driver? Thanks guys!

How do I put it in standby mode? And how do I find what IP address control 4 has for the receiver currently?

Thanks!

It will be in the setup menu of the Denon if it doesn't display on the Denon display you will have to hook it up to tv.

Either your old router was set for static dhcp or the denon was set on a static ip.  More than likely the denon was on static ip.    If you changed out your router, probably want to make sure that the address pool and subnet are the same as the old one.  Manufacturers usually use a 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x range c class address range.  That digit difference can be the difference between working and not working.

I read the instructions and the control4 guide says to set the Denon receiver to a static IP. Is this not correct?

Plug the old router back in.  Connect to it.  Do an ipconfig to find out what address your pc gets assigned from the dhcp pool - 192.xxx.xxx.xxx.  Unplug and reinstall new router and config the router to the same range.
