samsong
Hi all, I want to be able to watch my movie collection over my nas and watch or stream tv series which are quite awsome these days (r.i.p breaking bad:) I think the way to go would be to use xbmc. I just started reading about it today so bare with me. Here is what hardware i will have : A nice rackmount PC with penty of ram and a nvidia quadro 600 graphics card. My plan would be ton connect a display port to hdmi cable into my 4x4 matrix to have access throughout the house. Now i really want it to integrate fully via the control4 interface. I know there are drivers for it but not sure which one would be best. I also have an apple tv and saw on the xbmc website that it has apple tv download for it...can that be an option ? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

malelan
You won't be able to get sound over hdmi if you use display port to hdmi. So you will need a separate matrix ed sound run or to change the video card to an hdmi out card that can do sound.
alanchow
Replace the graphics card with one with HDMI (with audio inbuilt). Get the Recluse AV xbmc driver. You'll have two IP control over your NAS/XBMC box with movie cover art on the Control4 Navigator GUI.
