argentinodj Posted April 14, 2014 Share Posted April 14, 2014 Hello I currently live in Other country but I want to know several things: If I buy a driver in USA to a dealer or ebay I can bring my country and ask a dealer install and configure? A few days ago I was at a dealer in My country and said that the licenses could not serve and ban the team this is true? If I buy a computer I should consider to avoid problems when you activate in my country? Could have future problems for buying my controller in USA and use it in my country? They all wonder why I do not buy in my country but I think the cost of the equipment is very expensive in my country about 1500 dollars For best buy it would be used to activate and then uses that bring? or bring it and activate it in my country for the first time? AK1 Posted April 14, 2014 Share Posted April 14, 2014 While I can't speak to the specifics of importing Control4 items into Colombia, in general terms you as a consumer should be able to purchase any Control4 items you want from the US, eBay etc and import it subject to paying taxes / duties. Whether imported C4 items carry any warranty and whether you could get warranty support in Colombia is another question. You would need a local dealer to activate / program controller for you. Local Colombian dealers would of course prefer to make margin on selling you a controller so whether they choose to do this for you is their own business decision. Or you could work remotely with one of the online integrators, but I would suggest you have some basic technical competence to work as a DIY homeowner and to assist in the online integration process.
