moirons Posted September 21, 2014 Share Posted September 21, 2014 All, Relative newby to forum participation so here goes.Looking to add a NAS and NVR to my developing C4 system. Looking at the QNAP TS-470 Pro and possibly the QNAP Viostor as the youtube promo makes it look pretty well integrated. Anyone experienced with this combination? Is it necessary to have the TS470 and the Viostor or could I load the Surveillance Station App onto the TS-470 and use it for both the Media / File store and also the NVR? phileaton Posted September 21, 2014 Share Posted September 21, 2014 I use a QNAP NAS with the surveillance station app to record my ip cams. I don't think a viostore is needed. However, I don't know enough about it to tell you if there may be some benefits to using one. The NAS comes with 2 free camera licenses for surveillance station.
