dmccor1
I have a HC250 as my primary. I will soon purchase a HC800 from my dealer. I was curious, what are the proper steps migrating a primary from a 250, to a 800. And at what point in the process do you un register the 250 controller, and register the new 800 at my control4 account. thanks

dmccor1
one more question, when you say remove the project from 250 your basically saying insert paperclip in the back and restore to factory, correct?
Cyknight
No, you can clear the project from composer, although a factory restore would do it as well.
dmccor1
That's what I have read from all of the help documents, but I just didn't know if both methods were one and the same.
Cyknight
Not quite - the factory restore will actually restore the unit to it's factory software version and reset networking to default (wired and dhcp).Does a bit more than needed in this scenario. SRinTX
I'm doing the same. My controller arrives Monday. According to my dealer we are going to run both controllers. Is that an option for you?
dmccor1
No. I removed the 250, and made the 800 primary. Runs great.
