buttons flashing green

What sort of flash? If a steady on/off on both that tends to mean it's showing signal strength as mentioned, rebooting the main controller generally stops this.

If its off but flashes a short green 'pulse' on both that normally indicates it's in mine-app (update) mode but disconnected from the ZigBee mesh.

Other forms of flashing generally aren't a good sign.

Would help if we knew what type of keypad (old/new mainly)

It's a 7 button keypad, and they are all flashing green in a quick pulse way, I tried rebooting the keypad, still the same, rebooted controllers, still the same...it's identified in the system too.

When i reboot the keypad with 15 taps, it momentarily rejoins the system and all the correct button colours show up, but after about 10 seconds they all start pulsing green again...very strange

When I press and hold the bottom most button, nothing happens, all still blink green.

I also tried the 13-4-13 button tap sequence, and they all went back to solid green. I re-identified it, and again it momentarily goes back to normal before flashing green again.... :(
