snipboy
I've been trying to get this thing to work for a while now. My remote dealer says that he's binded it to the GE Alarm system I have, but I can't do anything with it. I have four zones in my house, but I don't see anything in the navigator or Composer HE. I've done the programming on the GE Module itself that I need to do. Nothing is showing up. Can someone who has this setup properly put some screenshots up here of what it looks like in a zone when its in Navigator, also some shots of what it looks like on Composer HE? I am hoping that might help. I am looking at a very steep price just to have a "local" dealer drive out and take a look with no promise to get it set up. lippavisual
Did you reboot the sec. Panel to enroll the module. Is the rs232 connection working
snipboy
That's a good question. I don't think I did reboot the panel as I don't see it in the instructions. The rs232 connection is flashing. Any idea how to reboot the security panel?

snipboy
OK - pulled the power and back up power. Let it sit to discharge fully, restarted all services including C4 and I am still seeing nada. I am getting a definite pattern of blinking on the device itself. It's talking or trying to talk. A much different pattern than when I first connected it before doing any programming a year ago. I have it connected to IR port 1 on my HC-250. I am still seeking out the screenshots if anyone has any. My C4 project will never be done, but getting this thing to work has been like a driving force in my hobby life (what little there is of it) for the past year. Each time I demo the system to friends this piece is always missing and I am at a loss...

snipboy
Wish I could. I am not a dealer though. I am actually trying to help my remote dealer who is struggling since he isn't on site. Thought I could bridge the gap somehow to help him.
dogdvr
Do you not have composer HE?
snipboy
I do have it. Not quite sure where to look for bindings. Or maybe I am misinterpreting what bindings are. I am not sure how to get a picture uploaded here either. Ugh.
dogdvr
when you exit your compser He it asks you to back it up, save the file to your desktop and post it here. Composer HE will not let you see bindings.
snipboy
My dealer had a breakthrough today when he loaded a new driver. Finally C4 finally started talking to the security system. However, he is reading some odd error items in the log and he thinks its preventing him from setting up zones and items in the zones -- any ideas on the log below?
