c4user3622
How do you create a virtual switch in Composer? eg I want to trigger an event if a switch is on and not if it is off.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
msgreenf
Add a regular light driver and make no connections. Then in your programming do what you need. I use one to trigger vacation mode Sent from my LG-V400 using Tapatalk
c4user3622
Is there a particular light driver that you used? I can't get it to turn on maybe because it is not ID'd?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dwake
I too have been trying to do this. It doesn't work if a switch is not identified with the driver. Have you figured out how to do this? There has to be another step if others have got it to work
alanchow
Mitch misunderstands what you mean by switch (he thinks you're talking about a light switch). You want the boolean variable. Can be found under agents -> variables.

Unless I don't get it, the Boolean variable needs an event to set it and will not be visible in any way on the navigator.

You can use custom buttons (another agent) or if you want something with feedback/dynamic labelling my advanced custom buttons driver/4store app http://www.chowmain.co.nz/advanced-custom-buttons/
msgreenf
I have one of these setup w a light driver and it works great. But I have to look at what driver it is. It could have been one of brunos Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Dwake
Yea the custom buttons would work, I forgot about those.I tried all the light drivers I could find, no luck. All required identification of real switch.Interestingly the on screen gui on the TV will not do anything when trying to toggle switch, however the iPad navigator will show the toggling but it doesnt do anything it's programmed to do.
