c44me
Need suggestions for under bathroom cabinet lighting? Which light strips or product(s) are best for a bathroom? I have wiring run down in and under the cabinet box and control will be a wall mounted C4 switch. Will basically be used as a night light.... Thanks! Adidaswood
I used inspired led for something simple like that in the past. https://inspiredled.comSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
urbanmark
I really like Volt (who primarily do landscape lighting, but recently expanded their product line). I used this cut-to-length kit for bathroom under cabinet lighting: http://www.landscapelightingworld.com/led-strip-lights-p/vtl-sm-16-kit.htm What I liked about this kit is it comes with a dimmer that you mount under the cabinets - so if it turns out the night light is too bright, you can adjust the level and then just use the C4 switch. (I bought an extra power supply and dimmer and cut the strip to length for two bathrooms).
RAV
Did my kitchen over, used these with new adaptive dimmers, works great: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KWVFXC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008GYWVT0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GTGLCXI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1All three for under $100, 16' of LED. Used the waterproof tape LEDs because I wanted the diffusion of the coating. You have to gently trim it off to use the connectors.Looks awesome, fully dimable. Nice light coloring and output. HouseLogix
We have LED Strip lighting available in both white and warm white color options. These LED strips work great with our Rimikon IP Controller which allows you to take control of your LED lighting from your smartphone or Control4 system. The IP Controller also comes with a free driver to integrate it into your C4 system. Strip lights can be found here: https://www.houselogix.com/shop/indoor-outdoor-strip-lighting IP Controller here: https://www.houselogix.com/shop/rimikon-ip-controller Please feel free to shoot us an email or give us a call if you need additional information. Cyknight
Or, if you just want on off, tie the LED to a relay you may have on a controller, use a simpler (and cheaper) power supply and call it a day...... We do LOTS of LEDs and we use lots of different methods of control as requirements demand. There's no straight answer. One of the NICEST options include using extrusions and diffusers by high end companies such as http://www.klusdesign.com/Or fully custom made setups. Like the little personal project below I'm working on.https://www.dropbox.com/s/hd9cy3w5txgb73r/2015-05-22%2009.56.55.jpg?dl=0But a simple self-adhesive strip to the cabinet and a relay can be done too. Jaffacree
Are those aspect metal subway tiles? I love those things. I did my kitchen with them too! Looks great!
c44me
I ended up going with the VOLT dry kit. Was least expensive complete kit and had most customization available to add extra parts a la carte. Spoke to their CS at one point and it is excellent as well. Thanks! I really like Volt (who primarily do landscape lighting, but recently expanded their product line).
