Need Help with Blinds

I have been reading the forums for months now and talking to my integrator about what I need to do to install automatic blinds into my new system but I'm still really confused.  I have read and been told that Lutron blinds are the easiest to work with but the cost of Lutron has pretty much eliminated them from consideration.  My wife and I are in the process of building a new home and the home is almost done being framed and the wiring of the house is about to start but I still don't know what I need to do to have the automated blinds.  I read some posts where some are using Hunter Douglas blinds and we have access to those at a reduced price through Direct Buy so we are interested in going that route but again not exactly sure what we need to buy and how exactly do we go about wiring those up.  Do I need to run a cat 6 to each blind or can they be controlled wirelessly?  Really need some suggestion and advice about how to proceed.

Both wired and wireless are feasible. Reality is though that to do it WIRED (the most reliable method) you'll HAVE to get a blind specialist involved - because the wiring often depends on the type of blinds/covers your want (which determines to motor used).

Wired relay panels can add up fast in their cost though.

For Hunter Douglas look at getting powerview or if DirectBuy is selling off the old stock the Platinum series blinds. Those two have bridges for them that can be integrated into Control4

You can do the Lutron Serena Blinds that you can buy yourself and have a dealer integrate them using the free Caseta houselogix driver. They often have a 20% off sale and you can install yourself and save some money. I just integrated 5 Lutron Sivoia QS Triathlon blinds and love them. The only difference between the two is the triathlon shades integrate via Radio Ra2 and there is a free C4 Radio Ra 2 driver through Houselogix also.
