Job Description:

Sunbelt Technology, LLC is looking for audio video field technicians to join our growing team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing installations, equipment configuration and programming, startup and closeout of projects, and service/repair support to customers. We work with virtually all low voltage technologies. This includes thermostats, security systems, surveillance, audio and video systems, access control, automation systems, wired and wireless networking equipment, and more. We’d love to hire an experienced technician that fits all of the below qualifications and skills, but we’re also interested in trainable, genuinely interested candidates.

Qualifications: 

• 1 year or more of previous employment in a technical position with an AV integration firm or security firm, preferably with installation and service related responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of: Home Theater, Home Automation, Distributed Audio, and System Integration Techniques.
• Strong computer and networking knowledge
• Hold certifications from any major industry relevant organizations (CEDIA, Control4, etc.)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to the component level
• Proven track record in providing superior customer service
• A clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Knowledgeable in other low voltage systems such as Security, CCTV, Access Control, etc.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

• Able to install basic AV and IT related infrastructure (cabling, connectors, rack assembly)
• Able to install, operate and service most AV equipment and systems
• Able to read and comprehend AV system drawings, specifications and technical manuals
• Ability to operate machinery, use power tools (hammer drills, reciprocating saws, etc.), lift heavy loads up to 75 lbs., work at heights using ladders and scaffolding
• Interact with clients in a professional, customer service orientated manner
• Be available to work outside of regularly scheduled hours on occasion
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
• Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
