T3 Intercom

The old intercom before upgrading to T3, you used to be able to push a room, it would ring and auto answer.  After upgrading to the new T3 and new OS, when you push a room to call, there is no ring, it just auto answers.  Now if you want it to ring, it can, but someone has to push answer at the other end.  Why did they change this.  I wish they would bring this feature back.
