browneye253
I have a couple of Elan Z660 / 661 amps that I'm wanting to add to a project but I can't seem to find a driver. Hoping there is already one out there. My setup is an AMX AutoPatch which is passing into the amp. I was hoping the AutoPatch would control the volume but it doesn't seem to be working like I planned. Thanks for the help.
d1amund
From recollection, those are just dumb amps...no preamp volume control; just gain adjustment via the front pots. If your AutoPatch is your audio matrix/preamp you should be able to set that as your audio and volume end points. If that's not working try dumping in a generic amp driver such as the AMP108 and set that as your audio endpoint and set the AutoPatch as the volume endpoint? But I don't think you should have to do that.
browneye253
I'll give those suggestions a shot. I was thinking it was a dumb amp too but it has an IR input on the back that was having me second guess that. Thanks for the quick response. browneye253
It seems like my problem is that the AutoPatch I'm using doesn't actually have volume control for the outputs. Now to find a solution.
d1amund
Install some in-wall volume controls; problem solved ...kidding. You could install the C4 AMS, of course. Or also look into Zektor and AudioAuthority. I have had great results with those 2 as well in the past.
