Alexa, Im home

I am trying to get Alexa to turn on my system when I say " Alexa, I'm home " but I can figure out where to do it. It would also be cool to say " Alexa, Goodnight" and so on. Right now I have to say " Alexa, Turn on I'm home" Anyone know how to do this?

Can't do it with the Control4 skill.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this at the moment. The integration with C4 requires specialized commands to include "ON" or "OFF" unless its a Control4 light switch or thermostat. My biggest hope is Echo will open up to allow the creation of custom commands and phrases. If Amazon does that along with custom name creation and different voices (GLaDOS anyone?) then they will single handedly command the home voice control market. 

In any case, what you want to do is not possible at present.

Since "Alexa, I'm home" doesn't work as a trigger at the present time, has anybody come up with any good alternative phrases they use to trigger similar events?

I use "Alexa, turn ON house" and the opposite "Alexa, turn OFF house."

VoicePad. Go to https://www.houselogix.com. there driver for VoicePad. I tried it with my iPhone it worked, there is another option, to install Mic. (didn't do it just saw it working). you can customize your commands, you can say what ever you want. It worked with my iPhone.
