2bc4
Does anyone know if a custom button can be created to turn on/off notifications and announcements. I have all of my doors and windows set to play wav file over speakers when they open, like an alarm chime. Trying to figure out if I could create a custom button on t3 to turn on/off either all announcements or just an isolated few. Would like to do this to with notifications as I don't really need them all the time. Any suggestions
Gix656
Use a custom button or experience button to turn a variable on or off. Then have your notification send only when the variable is true. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
eddy.trochez
Yes, it can be done. You need to create a variable. If variable is true send notification. The custom button will toggle the variable true or false.
msgreenf
I would use an experience button. They have a variable state built in Sent from my STV100-1 using Tapatalk

RyanE
Experience buttons are a new User Interface (UI) element in Control4. They allow an installer to add a driver, which is represented by a graphic button on the Control4 UI, in any sub-page except for lighting or blinds. The Experience buttons can be programmed against, and can have different functionality (like timers, etc.). As an example, I use an experience button to turn on / off push messages being sent in my project. It shows up as a green or red button on all my touchpanels and on my Phone's Control4 application. Shardik
Could use use one to change playlists on the wakeup function?
msgreenf
Could use use one to change playlists on the wakeup function? I guess. Sure. You would use it to change a variable which you could use custom programming on a wakeup to change. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
2bc4
Thanks for the advice on the experience button. Way better than the drop down custom button
