brucecampbell
First of all, I need help understanding what is happening with my set up. I have an Apple TV 3 and a Panasonic 55 TV both running on the same IR connection from the controller. (via an AV matrix) While watching Apple TV, I hit 'PREV' to go back one screen. The PREV (Recall) command for the Panasonic TV is being fired as well. - Why? The two commands are different IR codes.
msgreenf
You have them on the same ir port? As in they are spliced together? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
brucecampbell
Yes, I have two IR buds on one 3.5m plug.
3D - Benn
Could just be a coincidence they are the same hex code? I've had the same samsung TV codes operate RGB GU10 IR Led Lamps before.
brucecampbell
I thought that might be the case, but when I point the Apple TV remote at the TV and push buttons, nothing happens.
3D - Benn
Yeah, the same stuff happens to me. I can point the original remote at the device and it wont do anything. But as soon as it passes through C4 its different. It may or may not be the issue but just thought I'd mention it!
brucecampbell
After some further playing, I have found that C4 is sending the recall command for the panasonic TV, even though 'Apple TV' is selected from the watch menu. I'm just not sure why C4 will send this command??
3D - Benn
How did you derive its sending the same command?
brucecampbell
When I emit the apple tv ir codes from composer it does not cause the TV to respond, emitting the 'recall' ir code for the TV does. Just need to figure out why C4 is sending a TV ir code when I am not 'watching' TV.

vitali
you can confirm your IR codes in composer, as well check macros and programming.
d1amund
Let's get some more info. Is the TV driver a c4i or c4z? Use detective suite to see if there is anything that relates to this. If you want to PM me the account name or MAC of director I'll take a quick peak tomorrow when I'm at work.
brucecampbell
The Driver is tv_Panasonic_TH-50PZ80U _IR_.c4i However the 'RECALL' IR code was added manually.
Matt Lowe
sounds like some one programed the prev button on the remote to fire the ir code check under programming click on the room then go to commands and find recall prev or anything else related
brucecampbell
Resolved. Found some old programming relating to the 'RECALL' command which is no longer relevant....
