carvelln
Hi all. I have craftmade "dumb" fans (with lights) in all bedrooms and living room. They're controlled by wall switches as well as IR remotes. If i want to integrate them with c4, what's the most cost effective way? Is there a driver only option? If c4 hardware is required, do i need a c4 switch or fan controller? Thanks
alanchow
Generic lighting driver will control the lights via IR https://www.chowmainsoft.com/generic-lighting-driver Generic fan speed controller for multi speed ir control https://www.chowmainsoft.com/generic-fan-controller or you need just on and off for fan control this will work too https://www.chowmainsoft.com/generic-relay-driver

Im assuming these drivers wont work then. In this scenario, I'd have to invest in c4 wall switches/fan controllers, correct?
sonic30101
I don't think those types of fans play nicely with in wall fan controllers
VINCELdUB
There is a possibility to use this. https://www.houselogix.com/shop/matterlink-multix This uses rf and can be taught commands. Happy Automating!!

VINCELdUB
This device is a transmitter, as a driver that works with Control4 and can learn our F commands. This means that any of the buttons that are available on your handheld remote can be learned to it. However, there are some devices that are not supported depending on the frequency of the RF. I would recommend reading the documentation at the link I provided Happy Automating!!
