Lee_C4
Hi all, just wondering if the C4 firmware version 2.10 can be updated remotelyby my dealer? Ive been informed that they need to perform the update on site and will charge £100 for the visit. Is this correct? Thanks in advance
thegreatheed
That's up to the dealer. It's a large update so being on site is very prudent.

thegreatheed
Your dealer knows your project best. He's the expert on it, not me. Personally, I wouldn't update anything larger than my apartment remotely.

lippavisual
If a customer is local to me, I will start the update remotely and check on it periodically to make sure it's going smooth. But I always let the customer know that if something goes awry, it will be a truck roll and a paid service call.
Alex Lewis
updates are possible remotely, if you have 4sight or a VPN. unless you have a real need for the new software, such as new hardware which requires it, I wouldn't update for the sake of it. Even though it can be done remotely, it still takes time for your dealer to do this. If something takes time, should it be for free?
