wappinghigh
That is the first question in response to the thread opening. Sure. Such a pity. I would of thought *any* loss of a customer like this would send alarm bells ringing but that’s one of the main issues that’s always discussed around here- the end user is not really Control4’s customer. That’s the brutal fact of their business model everyone needs to 100% get their head around before putting the product in IMHO. erichter2018
Any thoughts on why the amp isn’t a simple plug and play situation with Sonos?
Cyknight
Well for starters the amp model you mention in the first post is NOT the amp you have, you actually have a power (dumb) amp not a matrixed amp. This actually makes your life easier. EITHER use the global input for one sonos (and set each zone to use global with the switch)or add sonos to each input or if you want to combine a few zones you can use those outputs to jumper multiple zones together. NOW the next thing is your sensitivity setting. It would appear the amp is already jumpered to always be on, BUT the trigger is set to off. Ie that jumper doesn't do anything yet. Set sensitivity to the middle, move the trigger switch and adjust as needed for average volume. Your Sonos will then handle the volume control. sonic30101, msgreenf and vstar 2
erichter2018
Thank you for the info. I had it set up that way, but the amp still appears to go into some sort of standby and not play sound. The only way I could have it play is sensitivity was absolutely maxed, and even then it would only play right after being power cycled. It just doesn’t make sense. What does the trigger switch do? ferdie940
C4 no longer works on my Mac, hence I would like to remove it. How can I do that? Frustrated

Frustrated Apart from reviving a 4 year old thread, you'll have to be a little clearer - "C4 no longer works with my Mac"....do you mean composer no longer works on a Macintosh computer? It never did by itself, so ...what? You have a new Macbook and now you can't install composer? That would mean needing to install a VM of some sort - as you would have always had to.... "I would like to remove it" - do you mean remove the whole Control4 system? or remove the program from a mac install? Or maybe you're saying something else, not sure... zaphod
Actually, I believe that the C4 iOS app runs on a Mac these days as Mac can run iOS apps.
