niall
Hi, I've got to connect my EA5 to a leaf component matrix switch. I've got a HDFury to do the physical conversion, but wondered if there was a dummy driver I could use to connect the output from the HDMI on the EA5 to the component input on the matrix. Think I remember reading about a dummy driver, but can't for the life of me find it. thanks,
lippavisual
path setter driver or just build one yourself that has every possible input and output. Don't forget to check the box for "can convert signals from digital to analog". Matt Lowe
niall
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I just found this http://www.houselogix.com/shop/universal-control4-adapter-driver Would it be a better option? sonic30101

Works well, and don’t have to create “adapter” drivers all the time or remember what I named it when I created it.

chicagoskiguy
Sorry to resurrect this old thread. I'm having a similar situation. EA-5 and have a component matrix. Have an HDFury to make the physical connection work. If you were to use the houselogix driver as suggested above - how would go about linking things so you are able to select the EA-5 as the On Screen Device? Nial - how did you end up solving the problem? Any help would be much appreciated.
msgreenf
Use the path setter driver from the online database Matt Lowe

So I put the input to it as the component and the output as the HDMI, just like you have physically with the HDFury. No other config was needed.
