iOS App Crashing

Recommended Posts

  • 1 month later...

Same here. Haven't been able to use cameras on my iOS devices for a few months now. What a disappointment. No help from support either. I'm running the latest of everything - iOS, Control4 OS, etc. This happens only when accessing IP camera feeds.

All my iOS devices crash consistently within a few seconds of watching cameras over Wi-Fi. These are the red flags I see in the log. Not sure if they are related to the crash. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas what can be done about this:

Anyone else having trouble with the app crashing? It’s happening on my iPhone and my iPads. It seems to only do it when I open my security camera feeds.

Question, is this still an issue? We have this issue on our ipads, phones etc. We have a LUMA 8 channel NVR all IP cameras which are plugged into the switch. Everything is the latest version of software.

I have it constantly crash on on my iPhone and iPad Pro. Usually, about 30-45 seconds after viewing the camera feeds. Running the latest software on all platforms.

Sounds like your camera driver may have a bug (given that you have had the issue for 3 years plus).

Yeah, most likely. This issue went away in some releases and then came back in others. So, I kind of learned to live with it. I have Panasonic IP cameras and using generic driver (see the attached image). These are my cameras:

  • Panasonic WV-SW355
  • Panasonic WV-SW314/WV-SW316
  • Panasonic i-Pro WV-SF135
  • Panasonic i-Pro WV-SW155

If anyone knows of a better driver, please feel free to chime in.

Thanks for that. Not sure as dealer installed it all at the same time about a year ago and updated all the drivers recently. All cameras are HIK vision on a LUMA NVR. So, its interesting and will inquire with them to see if this is an issue.

Thanks again,

I’m also experiencing this issue. iOS app crashes after viewing the camera feeds. All our cameras, regardless of settings, and any iOS device, iPhones and iPads.

Using Unifi cameras, last version of camera firmware, unifi network app, c4 iOS app, and iOS. Been happening for a few months now. Incredibly frustrating.

C4 says it’s a driver problem. @Cinegration says it’s a C4 problem. Now that I see others are having the issue with different cameras, I’m leaning towards this being a C4 app issue.

please encourage your integrators to keep pushing with C4 to troubleshoot the issue.
