chairmann Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 greetings. i have a roku3 unit in my bedroom that is programmed/connected to my c4 project. i want to replace it with a newer roku-ultra. my question is.... will it work without any addn'l [dealer] programming? i'm hoping i could: 1. do initial setup of new roku direct to tv & lan. give new roku-ultra a unique name & power off. 2. remove extg roku3 and replace with new roku-ultra 3. power-up new roku-ultra 4. rescan for roku devices in composer he WILL THIS WORK [fingers crossed]? chairmann Posted January 22, 2019 Author Share Posted January 22, 2019 well.......... not exactly...... i went through swapping rokus [as prev written] but rescanning for roku units [in composer he] did not find the new roku. however, in composer he, i was able to enter the ip address of the new roku unit and then everything worked hope it helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
