sali25
We are a new end users of C4 system, dealer did a great job with installation of lighting, garage door opener etc. I am in when-then system trying to send a push notification if garage door has been open for 10 minutes. Is this possible with When-then ? I also have composer HE (have not played with it yet) - is this a possibility with composer HE ? Thanks!
msgreenf
it is possible with HE. You need to create a timer, and when timer expires send the notification.
brucecampbell
I don't know 'When-Then' but Composer will allow you to this. create a new timer in the Agent set up for 10 mins. 'reset' this timer when garage door state changes to open 'stop' this timer when garage door stage chances to closed upon timer expiring, send a notification. Matt Lowe
there is also a new garage door driver that has this option built in.
sali25
thank you all, much appreciate it! Will certainly get started with composer HE.
THawes
As others have said, I think this can only be accomplished in Composer HE right now because you can't work with timers in When->Then. What you can see (based on how I have this setup) in When->Then: When the "Garage Open" timer expires, it it sends a push notification to our mobile devices and resets itself. ERDrPC
Following up with this 'reset' this timer when garage door state changes to open 'Start' this timer when garage door state changes to open {don't I need to start it after resetting it??} 'stop' this timer when garage door stage chances to closed upon timer expiring, close door and send a notification. What if the command is sent to close the door but it doesn't because something is blocking the IR pathway at the bottom of the door...ie box left in the way. How do I send a message stating that the garage failed to close, ideally send a picture from the inside garage IP camera? Instead of closing the door upon timer expiring - execute door close macro Door close macro close door delay 20 seconds {how to do this to allow time for the door to close??} if door state is closed send push Door was left open but closed if door state is open send push Door was left open but unable to close Does this make sense??
