Panelized Lighting Energy Information and reporting

I have panelized lighting.  In the properties page there is the energy information box.  Does anyone know what time period "energy used" is calculating?  Is it since last restart, lifetime, etc?

Back in 2006 a topic was creating asking about energy reporting.  No good solution then.  Is there one available today?

there';s energy used today as well as total - total will be since last controller reboot.

And not really any good solutions yet (excepting a handful of limited markets), though writing that down I'm curious if the variable driver could at least give you some ability to read.
