TRedhead
i realize this is just a different way to skin the cat, but why can't a driver for a speaker, so you can drag it into a room, and drag and drop connect it to the amplifier. then the selection and volume bindings would be done for you (similar to connecting a TV in a room). This would further simplify the understanding of the programming for newbies.
sfleck
an interesting conceptbut you would have to first bind the speakers to a room which is like creating a zone. then bind the room to audio channels.or create a room (which is a zone) bind it to some speakers and then bind the speakers to audio output channels on an amp. ILoveC4
I think the way it is done now is plenty easy...makes perfect sense to me.To each his own...
RyanE
That's exactly how Phast systems used to configure for multi-room audio, and it is basically no different now, except you don't have the clutter of having a speaker driver for every audio zone. You just have to setup the connection for what devices handles audio in the video case, and the audio case in each room to create the zone.I much prefer it the way it is.RyanE
akg4y
Also then you would also have to have speaker connections for stand alone TVs etc...
