akg4y
Seconded... if you can please post details on the inputs and outputs of the C4 media player as well, and whether or not it can do any of the following:1) Output multiple streams at once (ie one over component video and one over HDMI)2) Output a single stream simultaneously over multiple outputs (ie HDMI + component video/digital audio + composite video/stereo audio).3) Play ISO files (DVD or blu-ray)4) Wash my car. All have issues (Eva9150, XBMC) and it would be nice to see Control4 step out ahead of these 3rd party options.
thecodeman
The specs I listed are what I saw in the bullets on the slide today. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some additional information as I didnt even see one being demo'd at the booth, strangely. In regards to 2.0, word I heard is it will start beta within 2 months and then be ready ~6 months from now, so the first if '10. No word on pricing. There is a live 2.0 demo and it is very slick, though slow since they have not began optimizing the code.
havok2022
I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the Pioneer Project ET, which not only looks awesome but clearly runs on a Control4 UI (see pics and video for proof.)http://gizmodo.com/5356596/pioneer-project-et-hands-on-the-ultimate-networked-media-box

bhadams
So I'm at work and don't have access to the video, but what makes you think this has anything to do with Control 4? It has a very nice interface though (a ton better than the 2.0 skin that c4 is showing, in my opinion).

jedi7001
2 way driver support being able to use the C4 interface (no matter how non exciting it is compared to other media jukeboxes) is my main driver. As long as the C4 Media Player can play all types of files (mainly HD backups), Im a buyer of these.

In this scenario, you would use multiple players.2) Output a single stream simultaneously over multiple outputs (ie HDMI + component video/digital audio + composite video/stereo audio).Too early to say. I havent heard if it will output from more than one connection simultaneously.3) Play ISO files (DVD or blu-ray)Definitely plays ISO files. cannot say *yet* on the bluray isos.4) Wash my car.it also makes breakfast.
