    Hello, I have been using Control4 successfully for quite some time now, but recently cannot get Composer to register. It was working on this laptop up until earlier this month. I have done everything it asked me to do, I even deleted my account from our dealer portal, created a new one, and made sure I had available licenses. My login works fine on my home computer, a computer at work, and the my.control4.com site, but not my laptop. The biggest difference between my laptop and the other computers is I'm on Windows 11, and the other two machines are Windows 10.     Trying to chase down an issue that recently came up, possibly after doing a recalibration on my C4 HDMI matrix. My HDMI sources feed into my C4 HDMI matrix switch. Everything has worked for years. I was installing a new TV and did a recalibrate on my HDMI switch. HDMI sources to C4 HDMI matrix switch. 2-channel audio out of HDMI to C4 Matrix Audio and Amp. When I try playing a source in a two-channel zone, I get a brief moment of static in that zone, and then the audio goes out completely. Regardless of source such as Roku, Apple TV, or any source going through the switch. Other audio sources, such as XM work fine. I have tried rebooting everything…

    Hi there, I reviewed old posts but couldn't find my situation. I have a DIM1-Zx dimmer that just stopped working after 12 years. There is no power at all from the device and no BLUE light. There is full line voltage to the device, as I tested it and temporarily replaced it with a simple dimmer and that works fine. My wife is happy the light works and with a simpler solution! Is this a reset issue, or if there is no blue light does it need replacing. Any help would be appreciated.

    Is there a way to see how the six button keypads are mapped (assigned/hardcoded) in CHE 3.4.0 ? Also anyway to change them or is that a dealer only function? Can you program an additional light to a button? For example if button #1 is assigned to turn on the foyer pendant can a program also run to turn on the porch light? What is the difference in Press and Single Tap? Thanks

    Universal driver on Control4 doesn't accept up/down commands. it says its certified, but for some reason I can't get Up down to work. i'm rocking IR. Serial doesn't do anything. Yes it is the EXACT display i am using.

    @Cinegration we have your driver installed from my dealer and i have 22 g4 Pro cameras. I have 2 T3 and 1 T4 screen. Trying to get these cameras to work but he sent me this documentation which states it will never work.... Very disappointing. Is there a workaround? I sure hope so! We are having so many issues works on some devices, works on low but its blurry AF, works on non wifi on mobile its nuts.     I have an activity that lowers the shades in a room when started. (lutron) I would like to have the shades to their previous level. I figured setting a variable of the current shade level before lowering them was the right path for doing this. Restoring them to that level proves to be a little trickier. The only way i could see to set the blinds to a level specified by a variable was to use a loop this is what i came up with, but it doesn't seem to work at all. any thoughts or suggestions or am i going about this all wrong?

  8. Updated to latest control 4 firmware in all the devices yesterday and now on a sony tv I can change to netflix or amazon but have no control with the arrows etc. Reinstalled universal drivers but no go. Any thoughts?

    I have one sonos speaker in each room configured into my control4 system. I have installed the Sonos "global line-in" driver in an attempt to be able to play the audio that I feed into the line-in of the living room speaker on the sonos speakers in the other rooms. I have read here on the forums that a "line-in" entry should appear under "listen" on navigators, but that does not happen. I have correctly set the "room selector" for global line-in driver to the room that has the sonos with the line-in, and under A/V connections the global line-in #1 was automatically connected to "global line 1" in the Sonos network driver. What am I doing wrong? …

    The last week I’ve been having problems using the app is it just me or is everyone having this problem. I get an error unable to validate your account. Please check email and password and try again (401). My email and password are correct I close app out and it sometimes lets me get in and seems to happen more and more but not always able to get in I tried to uninstall and reinstall same problem

    We have a Control4 HDMI video matrix 4 x 4 switch. We had a power failure and the unit came back online all front panel LED's were lit across all sources. The selection button would not work on any and the system was not passing any video or audio. We have two zones, theatre (Sony Projector) and family room (Samsung TV). Had the dealer out and they said the switch was damaged with the power hit and we need to replace. After I swapped the power supply and rebooted, the system came back to life.   13. Hi guys. We got issue when using control4 in IOs. When we opened app, it showed this error: "Unable to validate your account. Please check email and password and try again (401)" . Our account was validated and subscribed 4sight license. We must re-login to use app. In recently days, whenever opening app, we got this issue and so annoying to use app. Anyone got this issue and how to solve this . Thanks in advance.

  14. Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can offer assistance. No matter what media is selected - SKY will just come up. So even I choose Apple TV, it will show me on the app that Apple TV 1 is on, but the screen will show SKY. Have reset everything from the app and then physically turned the Media rack on / off but problem continues.

    Hi All, Does anyone know if it is possible to have C4 wireless keypad dimmer that would work with a smart light that is control by DMX? I was wondering if I can configure the top button to never disconnect the power to the fixture. Instead it would just turn it off via the dmx gateway. Thanks

    I'm having trouble with Alexa not setting my kitchen volume. In my kitchen I have an Alexa but also in ceiling speakers for house music via C4 amps. When I say Alexa set volume in kitchen to 20 or Alexa set kitchen volume to 20 or Alexa set volume to 20 in kitchen, she says sorry can only set volume between 1 and 10. Clearly, Alexa is not recognizing Kitchen as a Control4 room meanwhile all of my other rooms work just fine (ie Living Room). This never used to be a problem so not sure what the workaround or fix is. My Amazon Echo in Kitchen is called Amazon Echo not just Kitchen or anything similar.

    A couple days ago I had a power-outage that took down everything accept my DSC alarm, that runs on battery. After restoring power C4 can no longer communicate with my alarmsystem. So far I've restarted EA-5, IO-extender (that has the IT-100 connected), alarmsystem and IT-100. I have changed input to another serialconnector on IOextender. All with the same result, 'Failed to Check in''. Still unable to get any communication between the two systems. The IT-100 is blinking green and looks OK. I've connected to my alarm through the IT-100 and a telnet-software from a computer and get correct information from the alarmsystem. So I dont think the IT-100 is the pr…

  19. Let's assume a simple setup - Apple TV -> Receiver -> TV. What is the best way to program the order in which these devices is turned on? I have tons of handshake issues due to cable length between the receiver and TV and need to turn the TV on, wait a second or two, turn the receiver on, wait a second or two, and then turn the apple tv on. I thought this was the intent of the 'power on delay' but reading the documentation seems like this is meant for the delay between powering on a device and sending that same device more commands.

  20. I'm fairly new to Control4. Using the Android app 324.21.0.6, Director version 3.3.0.628678-res. When I use the Android app to power on my Roku TV, no controls for the Roku are displayed (see screenshot). This works properly in iOS though on app version 324.21.0.2769 and used to work properly for me in Android, I don't believe I've changed anything that would impact this. The same symptom is observed on the wall touchpanel (I believe this runs Android as well?) . Would appreciate any suggestions.

    I have a number of Axis cameras and a Chime. On my app, I only see the thumbnail for one of the Axis Cameras. I get either a spinning reel or a camera pic with a cross through it for the other cameras. I did check on my TV and have similar issue (not identical) I find that the Chime is hit or miss and sometime shows a thumbnail but no live image or no thumbnail at all: not great when trying to see who's at the door. When I select a camera, I can see the live feed most of the time, again the Chime is hit or miss and just spins. Instant image when view in HE My dealer has installed Chowmain's Axis driver, and I dont get a thumbnail there either on my app, but…

    I have several Pakedge PDU's: P8 and P2. Been great for the last couple of years. All are on static IPs. The last number of months, when I have a power outage/blip, I lose the ability to connect to them: they dont show up on my network. When I reboot them, they show up and I can access them. After last reboot, I changed one to DHCP reserved with no difference. I dont have issues with any other device with a static IP. It kind of defeats the purpose of a PDU if I cant access it. Any ideas on what is going on and how to resolve it?

    HI all, Earlier this week, my 4Sight licence auto-renewed. Ever since then, my push notifications have stopped working. The licence properly shows as uo-to-date online and all settings on my my.control4 account look fine (and nothing has changed). The issue presents itself on all devices, which are all up-to-date (OS and app). I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, signing in and our, refreshing, etc., all to no avail. In the past I have noticed a short window of downtime around the time of renewal, but never something this long (it has been days). Any ideas as to what I can check/try here? Thanks, Adam

    Hi My Binary Device power button is malfunctioning. If I HOLD it and keep HOLDING It, it is functioning, however when remove my finger from it, color of light changes to red on button and It powers off 1) Does someone fix this? rather than replacement 2) Is there a different Brand than Binary that I can use and keep transmitters and receivers same 3) Has anyone tried using a used unit from ebay etc? thanks AG

  25. We have a lighting scene named 'morning' that sets the kitchen, hallways and stairs to moderately dim, lights over our kitchen table to ≈54°K, and UCL to ≈22°K (pale orange). One button on a keypad is used to activate it each morning. About once per week an alternate 'scene' is activated. I'm calling this a 'scene' because it's not a random setting of levels but usually (or always?) one of 2 specific 'scenes' that we now call 'Bright' and 'Blue'. To my knowledge there are no actual lighting scenes that match these settings (unless there are hidden scenes not viewable in HE but our integrator had looked at that once about 18 months ago).
