Interesting developments with R_volution as it looks really similar to Zappiti. EDIT: There is some relationship here between them and Zappiti; links on the R_volution website are linking to the Zappiti domain... Little bit of a preview by Let’s Get Physical Distribution Inc. for Michael Stevens (Youthman) from the CEDIA Tech Summit in Orlando :

I may be getting a shade with a Somfy RTS (one way communication) motor and trying to understand what function I’ll lose in C4 as opposed to a motor w/ 2way comms. All my other shades support bi-directional communication and allow me to specify a specific % open. With an RTS motor, assuming that a remote is not used and all shade control is done via Control4 - I understand I can send Open all the way (100%), Close all the way (0%), Stop motor and move to a Favorite position (preset - say 80%) Does the driver allow me to set a specific %, say 65% or 20% or anything other than 0% or 100%?

Hello, I found Zigbee thermostat. Sinope TH1123ZB (works with zigbee), found driver for it. Question, did anybody do integration? As well saw some certain version TH1123ZB-C4. A bit confusing. TH1123ZB and TH1123ZB-C4. Not all zigbee devices work with C4? even with driver? Need some special vercion of ZB device so C4 will recognize it? Thanks.

Does the Govee Driver integrate their motion sensors? I’m looking to add some wireless motion sensors and Govee seems to be bother affordable and relatively low profile. I can’t find anything saying that the Govee driver does or doesn’t support them, however.

I was using a SR250 but it didn't last very long. Using it with wet hands maybe? Eventually the screen stopped working. Is there a better option?

Hi, I have a beta version of a C4 driver to obtain cloud cover for any location on the map. If you want to trigger an event on a cloudy day and don't have a light sensor, this could be a solution. Since this is a first release I don't recommend adding this driver to your customer controllers at this time. I still have a few minor issues to work out and also need to write documentation. The driver uses https://www.tomorrow.io/ API to retrieve the current cloud cover for the latitude and longitude obtained from the project, however values can be manually changed. You must register with https://app.tomorrow.io/signup to get an API Key which you will need add…

I have snow melt cables in my eavestroughs & downspouts. They are connected to an outlet that is controlled by a C4 light switch. Right now the switch is left on all winter which is kind of wasteful. Does anyone have an creative ways to program this so it turns on based on exterior temperature and weather conditions?

I have three instances in my house where there are two rooms in Control 4 that we use as if they were a single room when it comes to audio. For example, my kitchen and family room are just opposite ends of one large room. The family room area has a TV and two sets of speakers, wired in parallel to a single output from a Triad 8-zone amp. The kitchen area has one set of speakers wired to another output from the 8-zone amp. The kitchen does not have a TV, but the family room TV is positioned to be viewable from the kitchen. When we watch the family room TV, we always manually add the kitchen speakers to that session. When we initiate a pure-audio session from either r…

Hi guys, I just checked account customers statics in my.control4.com. I have some questions about them - What is "Controller type" meaning ? We registered 2 controllers in Ovrc, but one controller is noted with "Licensed controller", another is "Home controller" ( I send attached images) I don't know which difference between them. - In Remote Status column, we have projects with red X, yellow check mark in IA, and green check mark in AA. What does "IA/AA" stand for, and which difference between icons Do anyone kindly explain these question for me. Thank you guys

Hi all, On the EA5 Controller it has a (completely undersized) fan on the heat sink. The fan has two pins (Ground and +) does anyone know what voltage those pins provide? Difficult to measure them as it seems like it only turns on the fan when the heat rises past a certain threshold. I want to upgrade the fan but not sure what the supported voltage is on those two pins. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this issue. I have an ancient 4 Zone C4 amp that was working perfectly for use in 1 zone until last week. Now C4 can not control the volume on the amp and my dealer is saying its showing connected on his side but I don't think the driver is even getting updated info from the amp (ie. powersave setting). I have composer HE if that helps with fixing it. Thanks!

"I can stream and play CDs using My Music from a NAS without issues, and all data, including artwork, is displayed correctly. However, my FLAC files from Internet Archive, Dime, and other legal sources do not play. Some data and artwork appear, but when I hit play, they disappear, and 'My Music' is shown instead. I chose not to get a streamer and want to keep using My Music. Would a streamer with Foobar or Roon be better alternatives, or is there a fix for this issue?"

Hi there, I have just had a secondary pump installed on the home central heating system. The plumber has recommended that the pump should only be run when the actual heating is on. The pump is powered by a standard 3-pin UK plug that is plugged into a wall socket. Is there a C4 plug socket adapter that I can add to my project that I can synchronise with my heating demand, i.e. whenever any of the three heating zones are switched on via phone app or wall-mounted thermostats, then the C4 "plug adapter" is automatically switched on thereby turning on the pump? And then when heating is switched off on C4, the power is cut from the plug adapter therefore switching off t…

Hi, has anyone experienced issues with the C4-AMP108 powering ON and OFF? I guess it should automatically turn ON and OFF by using the audio sense (audio IN signal). As a workaround, I connected the AMP108 to the EA-3 controller’s relay contacts, but for some reason, it still doesn’t work—the dry contact remains closed. Any suggestions?
