digitalcore
Is there a way to program the counting of events and then have an email sent daily, then reset for the next day?For example, how many times a door is opened, how many times a motion sensor activated etc. Thanks! CFUG
Sorta. I do this currently with a small rain/mist sensor. It's not convenient however as programming is needed for the individual counts. I reset the overall count back to zero at midnight.
Cyknight
Triggering the event adds one to a number variable - all events use the same variable or use different ones per type of event, or different ones for each. ie "20 things happened in your house". or "Motion was sensed 100 times, doors were opened 10 times", or "the front door open 5 times, the back door opend 2 times"Then if you have 4sight have the system send an email that includes the value of all these variable - simple enough to create a template for this. Or Recluse's push notification can do this without 4-sight.Do this at a set time of the day (or times) and reset the counts on the same schedule event (just program the email notification first )Takes a bit of programming time depending on how many different counts you want - but it isn't particualarly difficult. alanchow
Push notify is brightsky. We have an smtp drier if that's what you mean. I also do something similar with my text to speech driver when I get home for how many phone calls, doorbell presses, etc when I disarm the alarm
